Masteries: Blendered and Butchered

So like I come back after a while to start back up, and am like, WTF where is my Utility tree?, TBPH the only Champ I didn't use a strong Utility Tree on was Kat. Thats not all, this point allocation system gives me ulcers. I am at a complete loss as a main Support, in ability to support and economy, I didn't used to need to WASTE any gold on a gold income item, now I am forced to. I am a secondary Mage, I can not keep pumping out the damage an auto attacking ADC can with the removal of Clarity from Summoners Rift. Now some may think Clarity was a waste or "Use mana potions!" well they removed those too!, but Clarity has always been my 'Ace in the hole' right when they think they can get me because I'm dry, or my team is dry, a pop of clarity turns the tide. OP maybe, then make a change don't just remove it!

DISCLAIMER: I do NOT play ranked, I do NOT play obsessively, and I enjoy ARAM as well, more so than SR at times, and to those 'checking' my profile to try and throw that in my face, like I said it has been a while since I played and this was the first LoL account on my account doc so I signed in with this one.

Are you saying the Support Starting Items that give bonus gold income are a waste?

if you think masteries are bad for supports then you are actually garbage

-Nice Henz: Never claimed any level of ability, and please direct me to the 'support' tree or any machination of which one in your view 'should' be.

-Inept Maverick: Yes, it is my VIEW that items that do not contribute to final builds and must be sold off because they 'take up space' is not an efficient use of gold. With the old Utility tree, points spent appropriately, the need for a gold income item was removed for supports, and allowed them better use of what gold they did obtain more efficiently, without any loss to selling of gold income items.
