It allows the gamer the ability to go do a chore or a shower etc while still not missing out due to a queue timer/champ select afk/etc. This would solve issues and make games go from the queue to the start faster.

powerbats4 votesYou can also just not queue up when you know you can't play. Riot isn't going to make a afk system so you can queue up when you know you're not ready since then people will just abuse it and continue doing what they already do which is queue up and not be ready.
