Rank point system???????

so I just lost a game, I was carrying and then I got 3k ping at the end and lost. Not mad, then at end I also lose 25 LP. Not sure what the hell happened here. It was a bronze 3, bronze 1, and 3 silver 5s vs an all silver 5/4 team. I was on the team with the bronze players and I lost 25 LP. How does this rank system work because I thought losing to higher elo loses you less points(14-16 lp loss) and losing to lower elo loses you more points(18-26). I mean was their team awful with trash mmr or something? http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2027363352/202122287?tab=overview I mean it doesn't really matter right now being pre-season but this kind of thing always happened in the regular season which is why I stopped playing ranked months ago.

The points are based on many things. Yes, in partial on who you are facing, but it is also how the system believes you deserve to be a higher rank. I lost 8 games in a row ranked, going positive and a decent score and everything in everyone of them and only lost like 12-15 points a game and then started winning an started gaining 21-25 points a win. If you have been doing horribly lately then you will lose a fair amount of points as the system believes you don't deserve to be high rank yet.

what? so then how do you break out of it? I do good or decent in my games, my team mates... idk. I haven't been doing horribly to lose points like this. I was just on a 4 win streak, loss and that one loss cost me 25 points. pretty much like 2 games worth of wins in 1 loss. This is beyond frustrating.
