Make our queues great agin.
Let me preface by saying, I am absolutely fine with ranked matchmaking remaining as is. With that out of the way... (now that we are entering preseason, and you like to experiment with stuff'n'things) I would like to ask that you revert the changes you have made to normal matchmaking. The current environment is significantly more toxic than the last iteration of being able to pick your champ and role before queuing, and being guaranteed that spot.
Right now you force players into roles they have no interest in playing, creating an overall worse experience for everyone (not just the player that has no interest in being forced to play support.) I don't think anyone would argue against longer wait times being preferable to having to deal with either a toxic player, or one that sabotages there team because they are unhappy with there role selection. I get it, normal's shouldn't be taken seriously, etc. etc. etc. but frankly many people couldn't care less about the ranked system, it's pressures and the negative reinforcement created by demotions, etc. These people would rather queue up into a match (speaking for myself but even if it takes 20 minutes,) and know that everyone on there team is happy with there selection and is less likely to ruin it for everyone else.
Second point, I am also tired of being held hostage by a couple of players forcing a normal game to be extended by refusal of surrender votes. 3-2 is a majority and should be treated as such. I'm fine with unanimous pre-twenty minutes, but after that a majority should make the decision. Period. This ties into my previous suggestion as often this is the result of a player unhappy with being forced into a role and doing there damnedest to make everyone else suffer as a result.
Edit: One last point, come to mind as I'm waiting for a dodge penalty.... Normals should not have such oppressive dodge penalties if you are to keep the system as is. It's ridiculous that not only are you forcing us to play things we don't want, but when you can tell someone on your team is pissed about there role, I shouldn't be punished (as badly) for trying to avoid that situation before it's an issue.
