If Cho'Gath Does True Damage

Why can't I Kill Poppy when his shield is activated on somebody else? if it is true damage surely it should avoid his shield.

Are you talking about her ult? If so it's not a shield, it's an invulnerability skill, like Kayle or Tryndamere ults.

Diplomatic Immunity (Active): Poppy focuses intently on a single enemy champion, dealing amplified damage to them, and becoming immune to all damage and abilities from enemies other than her target.

In short, she specifically becomes immune to damage and abilities. The same is true for Kayle's Divine Intervention and Tryndamere's Undying Rage. Cho'Gath can't hurt people through immunity, even with True Damage.

HER Shield blocks EVERYTHING. EVEN TOWERS. Read the tool tip for it. It may even block fountain laser damage (IDK about that though, haven't fountain dove with her in a while). Her ult isn't damage reduction like say Alistar's ult, it is invincibility, like Kayle's ult or Tryndamere's ult.

Also, Poppy is a SHE. Get it right already.

It does not block the fountain laser.

It doesn't. Fountain Laser damage is a bit unique: it penetrates even through immunities, as long as the target remains targetable.

It ignores the following:

Aatrox's revive passive (won't trigger)
Anivia's revive passive (won't trigger)
Kayle's Ultimate
Poppy's Ultimate
Tryndamere's Ultimate
Zilean's Ultimate (won't trigger)
Zac's revive passive (won't trigger)
Guardian Angel (won't trigger)
Ohmwrecker (won't affect the laser)
Any and all shields

Yorick and Sion's revives still trigger...but they'll die pretty much instantly the second time 'round.

The fountain laser does respect invulnerability though. Anything that removes your ability to be targeted (Elise, Fiora, Fizz, Kallista, Lissandra, Maokai, Master Yi, Shaco, Vladimir, & Zhonya's) will avoid laser damage.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had a chance to play her for a couple months and couldn't remember whether it penetrated her invulnerability.

Might be a bug, but seen the fountain laser hit and kill Fizz and Vlad during their untargetables.

Fountain Laser pierces through everything. It hits untargetable players, ignores invulnerability, and can kill Tryndamere during his ultimate.

Cases like Alistair' s ult that reduce damage does not apply to true damage, but invulnerabilities applies to everything.

When poppy ults someone, only the person she ults can kill her. This is especially annoying when she casts it on a support.

Yeah I feel like I'm repeating everyone else, but her ult makes her immune to ANY damage and CC from anyone except her ult target. So Cho can't knock her up, silence her, or eat her.
