Why did i just have a game with a diamond player when i am silver 2.

In my last game i had a plat 3 adc the rest were gold and the other team had a diamond 4 player which was in my lane which i went 1 and 1 with but my question is why in gods name am i being matched with these high elo players and why is a plat 4 player going 4/10 in a game with silvers-golds in it.

I dunno a week ago I was bot against a D2 Bard adc and Plat something Janna supp. My mmr is high Silver so I dunno
