Climbing Gold as adc Main

To start off, im adc main since later s6, besides the temporary mid and jungle transitions, i've always liked this role, Peaked G3 in s7, and in season 8 i barely played ending up in s2. Now that s9 is out i decided to grind even more than i did back in s7, reaching plat is my goal this year. In 1 month playing a lot i climbed from b4 (where i started from placements) to g4 by now. The thing i want to ask here to the more experienced ones on the adc role, but also, on this silver/gold rank is what i should be looking for to improve. I climbed fast with no difficulties to carry, but now i am struggling and im kinda lost, not knowing what to do. If anyone could tell me straight the fundamentals for adc would become easier for me to train that, improving. Ps: i have about 7-9 cs pm every game, trying to always have the less amount of deaths, if i have more than 4-5 it probably was a bad game as i usually get between 2-4. here is my op.gg https://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=U4U%20Belifero for more accurate information. Thx to all

all good general advice that i would give to adcs in each elo, maybe you should work on something from a lower or high rating OR maybe you already do stuff from lower/higher rating. I don't know you just covering all the bases from basics to experienced. maybe think of it like a checklist anyways:

Iron: focus on csing at all stages of the game don't just stop after laning. The more gold you have the bigger impact.

Bronze: look for good SHORT trades when they have spells down and you have spells up. Poke goes a long way

Silver: focus on dragon vision and blueside: deeper vision(in-between blue and grump) when you shove up or redside: tri-bush/grump bush/red/behind red on other side and react and survive ganks. warding jungler camps is one of the best ways to avoid dying to ganks because you get to see them coming a long way off and give vital information to the rest of the map.

Gold: learn when to push or freeze and freezing in general. Sometimes it's very safe to freeze waves in front of your tower so you are more protected from most ganks. If they didn't shove in all the way and go back you don't need to necessarily shove back enemy minions can kill a surprising amount of your minions as they shove in. But of course if the enemy lane is somewhere else you need to push in and get some plating. also you want to be vertically laning meaning you and supp are on the same side of the lane as their adc/supp. aka both adcs closer to river both supps closer to wall or both adcs closer to wall side and supp near river. just keep switching sides to get vertail because many supports will switch sides to get crossed lane so they can harras you. (maybe cross is preferable against certain poke adc champions with non aggressive supports)

Plat: watch your own minion as well as their wave and when one of your minions is dying you can move up to harras when they commit to csing that minion.

General advice: it's okay to stay back in team fights and wait for their diver to engage on someone who is NOT you. Staying alive and doing nothing is preferable over dying and doing nothing. And divers are RARELY smart enough to not go in because you are playing safe.

If you see the enemy jungler somewhere on your mini map it's okay to push in and get some plating.

sorry if this is a lot to take in all at once you should make a list and try to constantly do a couple of these things every game until theu become second nature to you. goodluck in ranked.

Something simple I saw in silver/low gold ADC's was having no idea how to manage waves (when to freeze, shove, bounce, slow push, and how to dumpster CS to turret to deny it to the enemy). A lot of ADC's I dealt with would just perma-push the lane, like straight up basic attack a minion whenever they could. Not sure if this is something you struggle with or not, but they're simple concepts that help A LOT.

Stick with 3 champions from looking at your opgg you are good with tris, sivir, lucian avoid kaisa, learn your matchups have a plane before the game starts like who you should be scared who is your priority target, learn when to recall, wave management, team fights, positioning, objectives, kiting. IMO adc is more about game knowledge than mechanics the only mechanic that you do is kiting unless you are playing a champion like draven, I highly suggest these 2 youtube channels they will give you everything you need First one is "xfsn Saber" challenger ad main he streams almost everyday and does alot of coaching Second one is "prismal" challenge/pro player rarely streams for me his streams are boring, and even rarer when uploads to YouTube but they are amazing when he does If you need more information I'm more than happy to provide gl
