Muting a player should mute emotes from that player

I think many people have witnessed the ability to spam emotes such as /dance or /lol using the keyboard so that only the first few milliseconds of the animation plays. Some of the animations can be very funny. However, the first few milliseconds of sound associated with the animation are also spammed and the sounds can be very annoying. Most of the time, this spamming happens at the beginning of the game while players are waiting for minions to spawn. However I occasionally run into a player who will spam for the entire game. For example, today I ran into 3 players in 3 different arams who were spamming their emotes. Because of the single lane I can't avoid these players, muting them did nothing, and asking them to stop resulted trash talk, and in one case, the player standing directly on top of me for the entire game. My only way to stop the annoying sound is to turn off the game sound which is a little drastic.

It should be very simple to change it so that muting a player also mutes sounds from the player.

I don't get it...muting them does mute their emotes. I even tested it specifically to prove to the last person that said this, and I think I used it myself a week or 2 ago.** If it isn't doing it anymore it was probably an unintended change.**

There is a specific bar for champion voiceovers that you can mute. You don't need to mute everything. Press the microphone next to Voice.
