Zair Umbras3 votesEve's damage isn't gated by CDs. Her ulti isn't needed to kill, only the E and Q, hence why she's impossible to control power-wise. When she's viable, she's doing WAY too much damage... because she has no CC no tanky stats, so she's mobility and damage, like a normal Assassin. She lacks an actual gap closer though, which means she needs to have MORE damage that way she can have something higher than the usual Assassin, but because of the stealth, if she has huge damage, she gets to do it before you see it coming, which lacks counterplay, etc. It's poor design.

Yes, the d1 main, who has a 70+% win rate with eve in all elo's below diamond is ignorant of what makes eve overly strong. I can hide in a bush and kill you from fog of war 1 shot style like any other champ. I can use any of a number of tricks to LITERALLY not be seen until I am right on top of you. This is why im d1, and why I have a 70+% win rate on eve. I'm ignorant. And yes, I can flash from invis distance and be in range to 1 shot you. Ravage has a range, check it, my q has a range, check it. My ult has a range, you listed it so I LITERALLY can OBVIOUSLY flash into ult range from invis and 1 shot you.

She doesn't HAVE to use Flash to initiate like Annie or Malzahar do because she has a strong movement speed steroid she can use while you can't see her, thus she can fly into combat before you can react and use her Hate Spike and ult to stick to you while gaining a shield while already being built tanky. Lastly, who the fk cares about Syndra Flash plays? What next, Brand?

The point is that if someone just HAS to be paranoid about Eve being spotted because for SOME reason they couldn't just start their engage out of that range with the movement buff, they can STILL use Flash to pull it off. Still, she doesn't really need it like some people do, and she's a strong user of Ryali's, unlike other stealth abusers, so getting away from her is actually nearly impossible without straight killing her or jumping over a wall at the last second, which you won't do if you're a squishy target.

Malz and Annie have to burn a highly valuable resource for their solo plays. Rengar has to use ult or be in a bush. Even can literally just walk around willy-nilly, aiming for the perfect angle to flank and murder you.
And a side note: Being forced to play passive all lane just because Eve exists is stupid. The only counter-play to her outside of hopefully starving her of early game kills is to buy a pink ward over and over. That doesn't even kill her...it only lets you know she's near the pink ward.

Evelynn builds bruiser because she is a squishy champion, not because she is naturally tanky. It is why Evelynn has a rough time in her first/second clearing of the jungle. SHe doesn't get tanky until she has the items to do it unlike some champions such as Sion who has the natural base stats.
On top of this, yes she has a MS buff, but so does Udyr. What is the counter for Udyr? Slows and roots and CC. Evelynn is easily kited because her Hate spike's projectile decays in speed. So at max range, simply running in a straight line can cause it to mis..

Have you looked at her stats? Evelynn IS squishy like an ADC. The only reason she seems tankier is two things. Her ult grants her a shield, her ULT, and she BUILDS tanky. Otherwise, Evelynn dies very quickly and very easily like every other assassin.

The same argument can be made for a Reksai tunneling from behind your jungler' camps to knock you up with hard CC that you CANT cleanse. Meanwhile, you're stating you have issues with someone with a MS boost (not a 650 gap closer liek sejuani or 725 liek Rengar). Who you can see running at you and doesn't utilize a blink?
For evelynn to be successful at her ganks, she NEEDS her laner to be cooperative and bring hard CC otherwise, her ganks will fail because she has NO CC outsideof her ultimate. This is why everyone goes chilling smite, without it, she has no CC to complete a gank and the chances of success are so small that there is no point. Especially in a mobile heavy game where the most viable champs have a gap closer/CC to deter champs such as evelynn Its why in the LCS, she is built as a support because she isn't a good tank, she isn't a good assassin.

Pardon but this can be said of any champion who turns a lane into a farm lane such as Malzahar and Heimerdinger. Nerf them because they make you play passive all game. Nerf Nasus because he makes the game passive.

OK fair enough, I underestimated the range on Ravage, but I wouldn't call Flash from stealth assassinations particularly comparable to stuff like Rengar leaps anyway, especially as Flashing into Ravage range without being spotted beforehand is very unforgiving, positioning-wise. I mean this is before you take into account the fact that she can Flash from stealth every 5 minutes at most anyway.
You can drop the attitude btw. If someone says something inaccurate you could try actually correcting them rather than telling them they must be mechanically incompetent and leaving them to look up the Wiki to see what you're talking about.

My only problem is when people troll around in the game, intentionally ruining it for their 4 teammates and creating a negative environment, and don't get punished for it. Yet you can say, in exact words, "dude stop trolling please" and get punished for calling him a troll and "ruining his fun". What's worse is the community actually defends it. E-sports will never be respected as a real "sport?" with the mentality that they have. Literally any other sport I've played, you would get bitched at for trolling. Rengar is more than manageable when he goes top, he has a bit more of an advantage in the jungle but so does any other stealth champ. Pink wards are something you should get when the jungle has stealth, just upgrading your trinket into pinks is enough to totally disrupt ganks from rengar.

is one of my favorite champs, and her stealth has always felt the "fairest" to me. She's the only one you can see coming before your already being attacked, and it's not particularly useful for escaping... 5 seconds is a LONG time when your being chased by 3 enemy champs at 5% health! :P

As for ... Why he even has stealth is baffling! and its about to get a HUGE buff! Soon he'll only have to sit for 1.5 seconds, and it wont be broken by movement if he's in a bush!

the reason you get downvoted is becasue all of these champions stealths arent permanent like eves is they have to use an actual ability to get their stealth and each one of them has quite a cooldown. and eves stealth is so stong early since the enemy cannot effectively ward against you like they could a rengar khazix or shaco

They may be abilities w/ cool downs, but the difference is you get them EXACTLY when you want them ( so long as you don't make a dumb decision.) And unlike Eve they disappear w/o a trace! I've seen a 
with a 
sitting right on top of Teemo... and there was NOTHING he could do about it! And I already mentioned the issue with the others earlier.
I just think "permanent" stealth is a really terrible excuse for this Eve abuse!

The real problem is that they are very short sighted in what they CAN balance around. They tend to focus in really hard on just one thing, say tanks, armor, stealth, etc. They sort of miss what nerfing or buffing these things impacts outside of just these things.
Same reason them just tossing in "cool" items ends up causing issues, like with devourer, cinderhulk, season 3 new black cleaver, warmogs when it was buffed, etc etc. They just focus on a single stat/group/play style, and tend to not think outside of it until that something directly starts impacting other somethings....then just nerf it and call it a day.

Teemo doesn't walk up to you and hit you from stealth and unlike the others listed, he can be killed off with relative ease, or flat destroyed by opposing AP champs.

Yeah but....none of these champs really see competitive play.
These champs have been played less the entire season combined than Eve has been in 5 weeks of just this split (Counting China/Korea/EU/NA)
So...they aren't really being commented on in the "health of competitive play" discussion that you are quoting.
