Hey everyone so I've been reading a variety of different forums about adc champions and i have seen several people saying that if you're playing adc to avoid building 2 zeal items ( runaan's hurricane, RFC etc) could someone please tell me why

Rushing them is strictly worse then it ever was. I don't think they need to be avoided entirely, just cant be the rushed items.

Like if your core build was a mix of item 3094 item 3031 item 3087 item 3508 item 3085 item 3046 . Those same items are worse early game in every situation. IE cant be first item completed its passives weak. IE build path got worse, your more likely to return to lane with unspent gold and no stat gains building it, IE cost more. Zeal line all went up in cost, Brawler went up in cost, again more time you might have to wait to buy so more time spent in lane with no stat gains. Zeal its self got a small 5% nerf to crit chanse ontop of its cost going up. ER is now 3200 and contributes 0 to your crits.

Look new ie passive does well... at 3 -4 items + boots. Your power spike with the new crits considerably delayed and it does not matter what order your building the crit items in, the build path is always worse then it used to be and you will have to spend more gold every time.

so when you rush it its weaker, Build it later its delayed that much longer befor you see a power spike, and the entire build path as I repetitively mentioned is still weaker.

IE is a worse item now. Zeal line are all worse items now, none of them got stronger, The best thing that can be said for new crit is that you have freed up 1 inventory slot. so your end game max builds can be stronger... but every step up to that point where your power spike outscales the old options Crits are literally worse.

I apparently word things in a way that's pretty argumentative or something but honestly there is no way to say crits got stronger in early game. End of the day what has happened is Cost are up. stats are down. build paths are **all **worse. With the Removal of 2 flat AD early options for first major crit item. Storm razor subpar crit alone, 0% contributed, near 0 synergy with just IE requiring a 3 item build of Zeal IE Storm.

Yea true damage is gonna outscale 50% late game vs armored targets, ya don't see higher % of crits landing early, you don't see that 50% amp early, you don't see spellcaster acdcs getting poke, mp, and crit off a single ER early.

Early got worse for crits in 100% of kits that lack it. its only good as a late game stat, 3-4 completed items and boots depending on who your playing.

Only in all of early game, most of mid, and at any and all points leading up to you having 3-4 items fully built. Once you get passed all of that it has potential to be stronger then it ever was. [sg-miss-fortune]

The reason you should avoid building double zeal now is the fact that its a complete waste of gold. IE doubles crit chance; all of the current Zeal items give 30% crit which means it'll get doubled to 60%. If you turn around and buy two of them, instead of getting 60% crit, you're now getting 120% crit, essentially wasting 20% crit. Wasting stats in League is generally bad because if you're not using the stats in question, you're more or less wasting a sum of gold. So wasting 20% crit means is equivalent to wasting 1200 gold, since every 10% of crit chance is worth 600 gold.

It basically means that you're nearly wasting an entire zeal itself just build double zeal items. :/ Which feels bad when they've already made all ADC items stupidly expensive.
