Old "Feature" that I was wondering about

Hey there! I feel like I should preface this question by saying that I'm a scrub who plays locked screen most of the time. So a long time ago, like a couple years back, I remember you used to be able to click and hold a spot on the mini-map and hit Y and the camera would unlock on that position, making it easy to check on areas and set up a TP in the moment. All of a sudden with one of the patches (I want to say like 4.10-4.15, somewhere in that range) it stopped working.

I highly doubt that anyone will change anything about it because it's such a minor thing that I'm sure literally only impacts me, and so minorly at that, but I was just wondering if this was an intended change, and if not, would there be ANY chance that we could see it return at any time in the future?
