Is it just me or is it easier to carry as support compared to ADC?

As a support main I'm used to being able to hard carry a lane and shove kills down my adc's throat. Support is stronger than I've ever seen it having played since s1.

On the other hand ADC is frustrating to play. Because Supports unlike ADC's tend to not sit back and farm when they're bad they literally just feed your lane. In the last 3 loses I've had my support died 3 times before level 6. I'm so incredibly frustrated with feeding supports. On the other hand having a good support makes the game so easy you practically can't lose. Since the days of farming out the lane are almost entirely dead the adc with the aggressive support (that doesn't die) pretty much wins by default. It really doesn't feel good to play.

No, its not just you. Honestly, its been like this a little for a long time but since about season 7, it just seemed to be far worse. The support is honestly the real laner bot lane; there's a marksmen there but they have fairly limited control over how the lane flows and if things go poorly, they have fairly limited modes by which to try and just "catch up." Parties bot lane have been a massive, overbearing thing since they made the changes to dragon and bot tower and they've done very little to return bot lane to its roots as a 2v2 lane instead of a 2v3 or 2v4. :/

ADCs have no agency; its a complain that ADC mains have made for a while now but there have been no moves to fix it.

It's been like this since forever.

What game have you been playing?

there is not going to ever be a move to fix it, because once ADCs gain agency, top and jungle and mid lane will super QQ, because all of these lane's players regard themselves as ADC-killing-is-my-job and "agency" roughly translates to "I go up to you and kill you, and you can't get away from me once the fight between us (that i can freely initiate) starts".

It's easier to win lane if that's what you mean. But if the game drags on, the difference between a good and a bad Adc becomes really obvious.

Overall, I think the power distribution in bot lane is fine. Both roles are about equally important, with one being early game focused and the other being late game focused.

Also, you don't get trolled by support Lux, so that's a plus.

That is assuming the game drags on. Most games are decided in the first 15 minutes.

But that rarely happens. The average game length for my past 10 games is 23 minutes.

It's only because of the marksmen nerfs , unless you used to play supports like Brand or fiddle , then yeah , a support can carry easier than the adc

You can literally carry with any support. Nami in particular is stupid strong, but leona, zyra, blitz, thresh, alistar, taric, etc etc are all capable of either shoving kills down their carries throat or directly being the carry themselves.

Nami is only strong because everything around her got nerfed. :c Please don't talk about Nami; she's like the only champion I have left that they haven't severely destroyed and/or changed.

That said, I literally win more games playing support than I do playing ADC lately... I climbed from B5 to S3 in like a month last season just playing Tristana... Depresses me that I might have to turn into a support main instead of an ADC main.

Yeah, I can see how you could have experienced that.

ADC is literally the easiest role to carry as at all elo's and all levels anyone who says otherwise is a biased ADC or is trolling

QT dropped hard playing ADC and he's one of the best.

His rating tanked when he was playing Vlad, Donger, Swain bot and Pyke support. I'm gonna have to say a big fat nope of that one my dude.

the thing is this.. supports are the threat in bot lane early game. they are their so their little ADC can feed and grow up big and strong to carry the mid to late game. it has always been this way.

Some people even argue giving the support the first 3 waves so they can get an item then allow the adc to farm.

  • adc sacrifice all defensive stats for dps which was delayed in scaling.
  • dmg supp this season can one shot adc without items. ( dead dps is 0 dps)
  • adc cannot buy early defensive items to be viable. any gold dumped into defensive will only serve to delay their power spike further.
  • in NA server we have a surrender/ if fail will feed mentality. you have a someone that will want to surrender at 7 minute because of 1 death and will int just to reinforce his opinion on the game being over. no one like to be wrong especially those who are quick to surrender.
  • games end before adc power spike (surrender mentality). so no carrying ever needed from adc.

Personally I've found it more difficult to support this season rather than previous seasons probably because of my preferred picks; Nami Soraka Sona

Recently I've started playing Thresh and have been doing relatively well but, playing a squishy support seems kinda bad this meta since it's all about damage and who can burst who first.
