Went 1 and 9 in my placement games.

Hey all. I finally hit level 30 about a week ago and I finally started playing ranked. However, the games were horrible. I played my 10 placement games and only managed to win 1, mainly because I got carried. The rest of the games were horrible losses. It's honestly hurting my confidence win and it's making me feel like I'm never going to improve. I don't even feel like I improved at all throughout the games. Throughout all of the games it just felt like my team stood no chance against the other. Apparently the average win rate for players is around 50%. Obviously if I only won 1 game out of 10 then my win rate is 10%. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. If anyone wants to look me up on lolking then go right ahead. I just need tips to improve or for someone to help me figure out what the issue is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Personally when I hit 30 earlier this year I just spammed normal games and got used to the game as a whole. CSing, knowing how to move about the map, vision etc.

Ranked you can learn as well, there's no reason you can't play ranked and learn the same things, but you're gonna lose a lot of game when you first start (Still haven't recovered my normal win rate from when i first started pvp and was on like a 20 game loose streak).

The best thing you can do is "study" up. Watch streams when you can, look up instruction videos, watch commentary videos on champs/positions you want to play. Sometimes watching videos on positions you don't play can even help as you can understand what the enemy team and your team is trying to accomplish.

But don't give up hope! You're gonna lose a lot and all you can do is keep trying and actively looking at how you can improve.

It's completely normal to do badly when you first start ranked. Just keep playing and your winrate should normalize in 30-40 games.
