Have an MMR full reset available for purchase?

Sometimes you just want a new chance to be ranked, that would be great. So If I could save up say 15k or 20k IP to reset my MMR, would that be so bad? I don't want to take all the mind-numbing cancer induced (i really can't afford the chemo anymore rito) time to grind up a new account to level 30 to try and get placed at my current skill level. I just want a new opportunity to be placed somewhere more appropriate. I do ranked needs a hard reset for everyone since all my games seem to be more and more unbalanced on one side or another, but for now, at least let us reset our account. And maybe it's a one time only purchase, or perhaps an increasing price each time you buy it, like the first time it's 15k IP, then next time it will be 30k. I don't think I'm asking for too much here, I just want the chance to be level 30 again.

You already are at your skill level. Even if you reset MMR, when u face better players than you, you gonna drop again to division you are already in. You would just waste your IP.

Yeah I'd expect some tool to come in here and say that, but when every game I say something that will prevent a loss and nobody listens, I tend to get frustrated when we lose. I asked for a fucking chance it's giving riot more playtime because I'm already ready to quit this bs game.

Ok calm down for a sec and explain. Why cant u climb from Silver if you are skilled enough? Most of players are placed in low silver and they climb?

I don't play hyper carries, I play more team based champions like orianna and shen. I enjoy how I play and feel confident in how I play those champions. If I took the time and got as good with hyper carries as I am with team champs I could climb easily but I like being a good teammate.

I personally climbed from silver 3 to gold 2 as Janna and Morgana supports mostly. How do you think main supports climb?

My averages on Janna are amazing (1-4-17 or something like that) and for some reason it still secures me a 38% winrate

Oh and my Lux averages are like 11-5-8 and same winrate...

How early do u begin to roam? Remember you are not ADCs support, you are teams support.

Depends on how much my ADC would need me in lane. I'd usually roam either after they can handle themselves, which is almost never in silver, if the jungler is being counter-jungled, or if an enemy is setting up a gank mid

Thats your problem, you think too much about your ADC. Check who is best in your team atm (their CS,score, movements, warding) and go help him get ahead. Also there is one trick that works in low elo: Check enemies match history, find who had worst history, and camp the shit out of him. He will be tilted and bring disorder in enemy team :D. Works every time

Oh I'll always support the best on the team especially if my ADC is lacking. I've won games because I decided to leave my ADC to feed and support top lane, it's fantastic.

Not necessarily. If you play on one account, its incredibly hard to change it because it is so established, whereas if you go on a new account, you can make it way better, especially if you've improved over the years.

I think thats true only if you are bronze, then you need a little bit of effort to pull yourself out, but its still possible. He is silver 4, new accs usually get placed silver 3 or 2 if they didnt have previous MMR, so if he would reset mmr ,he would play promos and be placed a little bit higher. But still he would play with silver V, IV as teammates and enemies.

Not true at all, I always miss the days of Bronze 1, because they played SO much better than silver 3-5. Silver has become a melting pot of the ones who troll, the ones who belong in bronze, and the ones who actually want to try, and it's not even remotely evenly proportioned.

Thats because Silver is division of new lvl 30s. There it is decided if they are good enough to advance, or bad enough to bury them in bronze. People rarely stay stuck in silver. Its mostly people who rarely play ranked that stay there forever.

Silver is no place for newly ranked people. And you can't possibly believe that people rarely get stuck in silver. Nobody climbs out of that toxic waste dump.

Only way to be placed higher than silver 1 once u reach lvl 30 is to go 10:0

Yes but someone like me can work with that with zero matches to average my mmr on instead of 3000, and a place in silver 1, where people who actually want to try, and not go 0-15 ezreal mid, will be to climb.

But u are aware during provisionals , u gonna be in team with same if not worse players as u are in now? Why do u think it will be easier to carry?

I don't, that's why I asked for "a chance." If I get that chance, and it goes well, then horay! If not, then I still have clean MMR so the few spurs of winning sprees that I have gone on would have meant more.

I started in silver 3 after placements and reached Gold V in 30 games. The lower Silver games were quite easy to carry out of.

That's what I like to call, winning the lottery. As I said earlier, silver games are incredibly unbalanced, and it's a rare game that I actually enjoy playing. It's either I sweep with my team, or I do fine but they sweep. I've spent over 1000 games in silver and the result remains the same. I'll get a few good games a week, many games where my team feeds, some games where the enemy team feeds.

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

It isn't winning the lottery. I play with primarily Platinum and Diamond players in normal games, so I was simply better than the players I was matched against by a decent margin.

I would pick up an early kill or two (or a CS/experience advantage) in lane and then use it to roam to other lanes, snowballing them. I typically picked someone good at teamfighting and sieging so that whenever people were dancing around objectives I could wear them down or pick them off.

I also tried to provide advice (builds, teamfighting positions/roles/focus, etc), calling for objectives, and spamming wards. Many players are willing to listen to you when you are carrying provided you make good calls and are politely requesting their help (instead of rudely demanding it).

Wukong, Ziggs, Varus, Nasus, and Gragas were frequent picks for me in the early games.

So you got high MMR when you were placed, and got competent teammates that knew how to work with a lead, sounds nothing like every game I play.

They usually reset mmr for new seasons, so you'll have to play new provisional when they do it again for season 6. Until then tough luck and deal with it. Having the ability to reset mmr, regardless the price, would defeat the purpose of mmr.

I went 8-2 in season 4's provisionals and got bronze 1, I went 7-3 in season 5's provisionals and got silver 5, what kind of mmr reset is that?

EndlessSorcerer2 votes

It's a soft reset. I believe that it averages your MMR and the default starting MMR (around 1200, IIRC) to determine your default MMR at the start of the season.

WarlockLaw1 votes

It takes your final rank and not your mmr if I understood it correctly not the mmr

Right, which in my opinion, is useless and they need to make provisionals more meaningful, but it shouldn't be a hard reset every year. But if you go between 4-6 and 6-4 you should be put in the place you were left at in the previous season but any higher or any lower should calculate and put you in your respective position

A reset would put you around silver 5 or so which is already where you are. I suspect if they implemented this Diamonds+ would use it as a way to wreck low elos without smurfing and you would get diamond players resetting their mmrs for fun destroying the ranked process in bronze and silver, which just sounds miserable.

But why would they do that, there's no point in it.
