Placement games??

So last season I went into Ranked games as soon as I hit level 30, not knowing just how much of a change it was between Ranked and Normal games and I placed in Bronze III, which was pretty surprising to me! (thought I would end up Bronze V..

So knowing this new season was coming up I put on my tryhard pants and kept at playing League to better myself in Ranked queues by becoming more familiar with the game and some new champions!

This Season I went 8-2 in my Placement matches and still somehow ended up in Bronze IV.. Which to me, makes no sense. I know that Rito said that this season's placement would be heavily based off of where you ended last season and I can understand that but when I played my placement matches and went 8-2 and had an 8 win-streak I think I should place a little higher than Bronze IV.. I know this is a little naggy and I fully intend to try and climb out of Bronze, but I don't think that your placement last season should impact you that harshly.

TL;DR: Where did you place last season and where did you place now, do you think you were fairly placed?
