I went 8-2 in placements and was placed Gold 4. I played against platinum, diamond and even master players and still went straight into my Gold 3 promotions. Today I log in and it tells me to play one additional placement game to determine my actually placement. Ok, no problem. Well I had a remake game and it told me "You'll start from Bronze 3". No way this was right since they game didn't even get played. I went and checked and sure enough it was still pending placements. Cool. Played another game. Got an S- on Brand and it was super quick, super easy win. Still got Bronze 3. So essentially that placement game was total bullsh*t. Yesterday I was playing with diamond and master players and still winning. Today I'm playing with bronze and silver players and getting Kat adc. This overcorrected the issue. Please continue to fix this. This is even worse. Instead of playing with better players and improving I was just dumped with way worse players and wanted to no longer play.

I agree with this statement.

I started in NA Bronze 5 and wound up in EU after the fix. That's way too low.

SO GLAD I'm not the only one. I wasn't plat or anything, but I got demoted from silver to bronze 2 because I lost this additional placement match. Although from what I see, even if I had won it, I would have been dunked all the same.

I'm not playing flex until they fix this.

PS: Today isn't April 1st, is it? Because this seems like a bad prank.

Yea the division system isn't working for flex queue.

MMR should be incorporated instead.

I feel same. At the end of season i was Silver 3 now i'am B V i have win the promos to B 4 but then i lost game and got demoted to B V again.

i want all the useless time i invested into those 10 provisional matches back. those were hours basically wasted now.

i went from Silver 2 in the provisionals thinking i can finally climb up again. to be dropped to Bronze 3. it basically took away all hope i had in climbing because i really do not want to deal with bronze again. i am so tired of dealing with bronze people.

I just posted about this as well. 13-2 Gold 2 with 72 LP yesterday, 1 loss Bronze 1 today. There is no way that is a fair deal. I thought I might be placed in gold 5 or Silver 1 (which I was not happy about mind you), but at least it was a small knock for a 1 game loss. Not 2 whole divisions.

The Ranked Games are totally fcked up, went on 7-3, got Silver 2, alright no problem, we can climb to Gold in few games. Get to Silver 1 -you have to play an additional placement match - no problem, rekt it with my Wukong 17-2-7, at this point my tought were "nice we are not against plat/diamond anymore I can have fun getting S+ killing silvers/bronzies", get placed in "BRONZE 4". What the hell, I will have to climb again from there, which means around 20 games with no loss only to get to Silver, It's not fun, i'm tilted already.

Am I the only one ? Please tell me i'm not the only one ...

Hi guys i have one question for u ? question is about ranked flex.. My little brother played 10 games and he had a score 7 3 so after that u placed him into plat 1 , so he played a few days and yesterday he entered to diamond 5 (ranked flex) . Today when he entered into a game that diamond 5 flex was disabled or invisible and he played one more game and he won … after that u placed him into plat 4..whats the problem or whats the clue?? was silver two the season before this last one, and it was the first time I ever played ranked. And when dynamic queue came out me and all my friends played, and I got placed in bronze four, and was unable to get out. But, when I did the flex queue I was against gold, to plat players? Or something like that, and I was given gold three as my rank after I won six out of the ten games I played. AND IF I WAS AGAINST PLAYERS THAT HIGH I DESERVE A HIGHER RANK. Because after, I played the extra game, I was placed in bronze five, and I even won that game. I'm so mad, and really confused.

Yeah, know how you feel. Placed in Silver III this preseason and did my replacement and was booted all the way down to Bronze IV. Cause that makes total sense.

It sucks that a lot of people are actually having this issue. 7-3 in my flex queue. Got Bronze 3. Carried my last game 9-2 and ended with an S+. I went down to Bronze 4. I dont understand man. I would've fine being in silver alone

This is really frustrating. I got placed into Silver 5 [was silver 3] I also went 7-3 in promos. With the fix, I won ANOTHER game and now I'm Bronze 2. How did this fix anything??

I was Diamond last season and now i did 9/1 in placements playing with masters and challs and got plat 1. After this shitty rollout i got gold II and i played with low plats... I lost so much time cuz i was ~~50 LP in old division. Broken af. item 3070 [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Solo Queue would be just as wacky right now. Until they get this MMR issue fixed, all Ranked is a bad idea.

How? MMR in solo Q puts itself into the right MMR on its own. If everyone started at silver, they would still be placed in the right MMR as time goes by. People complaining over less than a day of playing on flex when it's preseason and there is more than a year and a month of playing time makes zero sense. Flex is a brand new queue that replaced team ranked, so it will be wacky. Solo q is not a brand new queue, it's the oldest queue there is and riot somehow messed it up and removed it.

In short, solo queue is always ready for ranked, mmr does not play a part in it until after your first 100 games.

Flex Queue is renamed Dynamic Queue, that queue that has been live for the last year. They disabled 4-man premades to start, but that's it.

You can't argue that the Ranked Queue that was last used 1 year ago (Solo/Duo) will be fine when the Ranked Queue that was used less than a month ago (Dynamic) is now broken. The logical conclusion is that they changed their MMR formula, which would effect placements/soft resets in any queue.

I went 7-3 in placements and got bronze 2. I won a couple of games had 54 LP. I was Silver 5 last season. I logged out and the ranked system was down for maintenance yesterday. Today logged in and it said play one more placement game to decide your rank. I played that game and my team won. It popped up saying that I will now start in bronze 3 ?!! I won the game and I still got demoted plus my 54 LP is gone.

My first set of promos was 3 matches with afkers (one with two afkers) and 2 matches with feeders (all 5 losses) the other 5 were real matches expect one the enemy team had a Plat 2 player with silver players so another loss.

Did 4/6 place Bronze 1

Work to Silver 4 and today (you most play one more match)

I got 20/11/16 top lane My mid was 6/16 (Ryze) My Junger 4/10 (Yi)

We only could win team fights if we got a pick before the team fight to make it a 4v5 Ryze thinks its a good Idea to ult our back lane INTO the enemy team and we lose.

Few, thought that my drop in placements was just be being a horrible player... I did lose my last placement game as a 26-6 pantheon with my team KDA being 35-50, and then after the fact found out it was with bronze players. Gold 2 to Bronze 2, at least I am where I belong now, pub stomping fellow bronzies with my multiple 20+ kill pantheon and fizz games. I must admit it is a lot more fun down here.

exactly the same thing happened to me i went 8 wins 2 losses got put in silver 3 . them won a couple games today it said the thing about playing one more game and it got remaked and it said u got put down to bronze 5 so i played another got an S with rengar 27/4/6 and it put me in bronze 5 wtf rito games

Getting utterly shit-stomped doesn't really teach you much. That's like saying getting beaten up by a professional boxer makes you a better fighter. After the first ten minutes you'll just be sitting in base, unable to walk into lane without dying to some high elo premade. Not much to learn from that.

It teaches you a lot more than to just be placed with headless chickens.

Getting utterly shit stomped does teach you a lot especially if you watch a replay of the game. You can see what to take care towards and what kinds of mistakes you made and will allow you to fix them one by one. I doubt that'll ever happen. The only time that has ever happened was when I was in a tournament and when the enemy challenger rengar was one shotting me as Alistar with ult even in base. I've gone up against plat/diamonds one game as brand (who i don't play very often) and still went 7/10/7 because i learned what and what not to do while in game. 0/4 -> 7/10.

yep, spend the entire last season reaching Gold 5 from silver, winrate a tiny bit over 50%, no carry potential at all, youre almost fully reliant on luck, either you get braindead apes or a decent team and that basically decides the game, not your play

Well in some cases that's true but the frequency in which it happens in silver is a bit lower. Silver also has less amounts of ragers and afk'ers.

HONESTLY, and it's usually botlane. Not saying all botlaners are bad but when a lane usually loses it's botlane and then they keep bickering for the entire match. (Although there is the occasional really good botlane)

Why is this such a big deal? I was ranked s2 season 5. And lost down to s3 and just never touched it cuz it made me salty. I didn't deserve s2 yet they gave it to me. Simply cuz it was my first time and they gave me the benefit of the doubt. Shit they gave my friend g5 after placements and same thing happened to him. He got to 0 LP and quit cuz that's a free gold for him lol. But this year they got it right. Put me b5 and my friend s2 (I think?). I worked my ass off for my g5. Now everyone's complaining that they were put down a few divisions after playing with gold this and plat that and winning. Ok? If that's the case then all these people should be playing with u now correct? If the rank que was reset correctly than u should still be playing with these people. If ur not then there's no way u deserved it, I promise. u just gotta work for it a lil.

I'd be upset of this was the END of the season. Like I just got gold why am I back to silver a week from the finish date. This is a WHOLE YEAR worth of work u can put in to get just 2 ranks up (if ur bronze 5). What's the big deal? Am I missing sumthing?

Dude, you don't get it. Many of us played many games this past week and now this patch and the single placement game literally made it all for nothing. Imagine having been placed silver, played several days to get to gold, login today, play one game and get demoted to bronze? How is that FAIR?

Managed to land in B1 yesterday and then today I played another match and WON but ended up at the bottom of B3. I didn't know you guys added another placement match but why did i drop 2 divisions for winning? This was on Twisted Tree line though so it'd not that much of an issue but its still pretty messed up.

Ya agreed, me and my buddy were both plat 5 last season....played most our placements together. We both went 4-6 but he got placed gold 2 while I got silver 4......while playing against mostly plats and diamonds. Like ok....thats cool

I got placed in Bronze being Gold in Solo, not complaining because I can personally care less. But even after already being placed, Bronze in this queue can still flex with Diamond and Platinum. So I play against Plats and Diamonds even if I'm playing alone despite being in Bronze. I'm not exactly sure how Flex queue works anymore.
