New runes ruin the game

Hello there,

So i've been playing with the new runes and they seem to really have broken the game, Lux used to be super powerful and now she's suddenly REALLY weak without the runes and masteries that we used to have and I was against a Ryze who did WAY too much damage. The players also seem to have become allot more toxic... so honestly i'm thinking it would be a better idea if I stopped playing the game cause this stuff seems really broken and not balanced at all in my opinion, which is really fucking sad cause i've put more than fucking 400 euros into this game and I guess that was all just a waste of fucking money now that the game has gone to shit.

Lux works just fine with the new runes.

Try taking Arcane Comet instead of Electrocute. Comet is far more clearly meant for mages, whereas Electrocute is clearly meant for assassins.

Just give it time. Pre-season is always unbalanced. Doubly so because of the massive overhaul to runes this season.

If people are being super toxic it's either a) coincidence b) extra stress from the unbalanced state is pushing people over the edge c) mmr soft-reset. If there really is Spike in toxicity that will inevitably level out with time as well.

Dude... it's preseason. The first day of preseason. And then, even beyond that, the first day of one of the largest scale renovations to the structure of League that they have done yet. It's going to take a bit ironing out. If you find it bad enough, just take a break, play some other games. They'll gather data, tune stuff, and you can come back next season when both Riot and the player base has figured stuff out.

I mean, seriously, if you've been putting up with Lux for the past year or w/e, you certainly must have patience for this.

I just went againt a Ghost + Phase Rush Darius, that is the most broken thing i've ever fought against , how do you even counter it?

dude my last match with lux where her ult CD is 28s and reduced to 14 if I kill someone and it dish out 1200 damage, so it's like wild laser poping from every fucking where. I personally find ultimate hat rune is crazy on her.

I personally think the runes break the game. Such as the ghost poro. A ward with no cooldown? And that's just a minor rune.

The new runes literally destroyed the whole idea of matching abilities of a champ and pre game planning to separate you from noobs. Instead its a freekin burst fest with tanks nerfed to oblivion. Nice way to totally destroy the game Riot. Uninstalling after 6 years soon.

You cant make AP ezreal... Seriously, you cant make ap ezreal, ap kog, ap mf, ap jax because they all get ad/level and flat ad from the runes. That's how Riot want us to play, to play the recommended playstyle... These new runes are soo fucked up, they are ruining the build diversity completely.

I just saw a lvl 7 lulu support 1 shot the midlane GP from full hp with only a spellthiefs. So that's pretty broken. They are just removing any remaining skill from the game, not that there was much left anymore...to try and get more people who have no skill into the game. It's unfortunate but at least maybe they will slightly fix things in the next few months, unlikely though
