Trundle Those are some nice stats you have there, Nasus. It would be a shame if something were to,...Happen to them.

Trundle. Trundle scales better, has better sustain with his W, and royally rips Nasus a new one with his Q and Ult.

How do I know this? Been there done that.

I wouldn't say Trundle scales better at all. He just scales better if there's someone like Nasus to give him free stats.

It really depends on their builds and if they are allowed to counterbuild eachother, as well as how the fight progresses.

Please note that when I refer to 'standard' builds, I'm using the following for reference. Nasus item 3111 item 3078 item 3110 item 3065 item 3075 item 3143 summoner 12 summoner 4 Trundle item 3111 item 3153 item 3143 item 3065 item 3074 item 3075 summoner 12 summoner 4

Assuming a straight 1v1 with 'standard' builds, I think Nasus has the advantage.

Nasus's damage primarily comes from his Q, which means that he doesn't need to stay in range of Trundle for long durations. He can use Wither to kite Trundle and force constant, short trades in which he may have the advantage. In addition, Nasus can use Wither to run away from Trundle during the duration of Subjugation which prevents Trundle from taking advantage of the bonus/reduced resistances. Trundle is heavily autoattack reliant, so Wither can screw with his damage output significantly.

On the other hand, Trundle can use his Ice Pillar to separate himself from Nasus when Fury of the Sands is up or to buy time for Wither to expire.

However, changes to the build may be made to increase their ability to duel one another. Both would benefit greatly from Ninja Tabi to reduce autoattack damage. Both would benefit from armor penetration since they're fighting another tanky champion, so Spirit Visage or Ravenous Hydra could easily be changed for a Last Whisper.

If Trundle gets Mercurial Scimitar as one of his items or Cleanse as a summoner spell, he can remove the initial Wither and possibly kill Nasus during the duration.

In addition, Trundle's Pillar is more effective in jungle passages than in lanes and it's harder to run out of his W, so location can make a large difference.

Too many variables to consider, honestly. It's up to the player's decision making and ability use.

What if nasus brought a last whisper

I did mention that actually.

Both would benefit from armor penetration since they're fighting another tanky champion, so Spirit Visage or Ravenous Hydra could easily be changed for a Last Whisper.

It really depends to what degree the champions counter build one another, where the fight takes place, and how the players handle it. Too many variables to really come to a definitive answer.

I'd say Wither wins Nasus yet another match-up.

who will win?

My vote is the doggy.

Trundle's ult would still do a number what with stealing 14% max HP and 20% armor/MR immediately, then doubling that after 4 seconds for 28% max HP and 40% armor/MR.

That said - Trundle's ult doesn't look like it effects the 600 temporary HP Nasus gets from his own ultimate, and I'm not sure Trundle could make enough use of his 8 second ult duration to stick it to Nasus during his ult.

Also - Nasus can reduce Trundles armor and magic resistance by 40, and burn up to 75% of Trundle's Max HP off over the 15 second duration of Nasus's ult, gaining up to 300 AD in the process. So it's not like Trundle is the only one shredding tank stats. Also not the only one with solid AA damages.

Trundle stealing 20 AD and getting 40 AD every 4 seconds (pre CDR) on a 100+120% AD ability also doesn't seem like it would stack up to well vs. a 119+110+800 Q stacks Siphoning every 4 seconds (pre CDR).

And 80% AS and 40 AD vs. a potential 300 AD steroid and Whither's AS reduction? *300 *AD. Nasus can get 300 AD with his ult.

Preettttttty sure Trundle wants to end a game before it gets to the 6 item point. Average game length is more a 3 major items and boots point, and if you can't beat Nasus mid game as Trundle and you let him get 800 stacks, eating a 300 AD steroid, 40 armor/mr shred, facing 600 bonus HP you can't shred, and getting boinked over the head every 2.4 seconds with 1029 AD AAs seems like a loosing battle for a melee champ, even if you can turn that 1029 Siphoning into a 1009, or that +300 AD 1329 boink into only a 1309 strike.
