Trouble carrying silver :L

Whats up guys :) I started playing ranked at the last 3 months of season 4 and got to gold. However right now in season 5 I placed bronze(Got afks in 6 of my provisional matches...) . I main mid and I usually get really fed and strong. I roam alot and I help my lanes out. Everything seems to be okay, but it is just shot calling issues. My team usually doesn't know what to do, but I always try to tell them to push out lanes so we can put pressure in mid lane and take objectives. Though since I've been stuck in silver 1 and 2 for a while. I believe there is something wrong with the shot calling I am making. I believe if I can become a good coordinator I shouldn't really have a problem moving up the ranks. (Friends of mine in diamond said that my mechanics were pretty strong, but I don't have the ability to find good calls.)

The problem with strategy is that you cannot take into account the situations that come up. Therefore, your problem is not in your strategy, but rather in your tactics. This is something you can only learn from experience. You are already half way there since you know the strategy to success. You just have to learn how to adapt your strategy/tactics to the situation. It isn't always advisable to push out outer lanes and then push hard mid lane.

winning in soloQ is like 60% luck, you can get fed as hell while other lanes fail out or AFK and lose a match, bad players etc etc carrying yourself out of silver is a lot harder than bronze... players there have at least a concept of how to play and when to do what, so 1 strong player can still be pulled down by 4 idiots.

I think sending retreat pings to people who are over extending is a very helpful practice. Be careful not to spam them to the point where people get frustrated, though.
