Kalista isn't OP

Since her release I feel like everyone just thinks she's OP, and everyone always says the same things. -Her passive is OP, I can't catch her -Her passive is OP, I can't land a skillshot -Her passive is OP, I can't get away from her

While I do think her passive is very good, she isn't broken and there are ways of stopping her. -Her movement speed is bad. Catch her outside a fight and she only has her spear to get away. Any champ with exhaust or a gap closer can kill her because she is very squishy. -What's that? You don't have exhaust or a gap closer? Coordinate an attack with a teammate or don't engage her 1v1. -For chasing and escaping her, the jungle and tri bushes are your friend. Her AA cannot be canceled and even if she already launched it, slipping into any bush will make her attack miss. It also gives you a really good opportunity to CC her or start a counter attack. Wait till her Pierce is on cd and she has no escape. -Her damage is lower than most other ADC's -Her ult is a great way to start a fight, but it is also weak and she can't use it alone -If you're starting a team fight, it is very easy to predict a Kalista ult and aim a CC where her support will land -If you're complaining about landing skillshots, try to predict where she will go -ADC's like Lucian and Trist have a lot of mobility and can use the bushes to sack her quickly -ADC's like Kog and Cait just plain out range her, even with her dash their AA will still hit and force her to farm under turret. Deny her CS and she will not be a threat later

I saw multiple pro players (not all ADC mains) getting pentas on her their first game with her, as in they hadn't played her on the PBE and was legit their first game. Doublelift is probably the obvious example as anyone on reddit has seen it by now I'm sure.

She may not be actually OP but every adc that I tend to give more credit to (every adc that is in the lcs, and yes that includes Piglet) is saying, while not always in the same language "holy shit this champ is broken".

I want to reiterate that I personally don't feel this way, but I have no real care because I don't play adc, but those that do at a pro level sure seem to be saying it a lot more than usual.

Draven destroys kalista due to the sheer damage... and i think has the same auto attack range just poke her with 3 axes and she should be below half health unless she has a heal support

Yeah, her damage is low, and the fact that she can't cancel hurts her because you can punish her early game during her animation. Also, when she's dodging, she's not attacking, so her dps is low compared to other ADC's.

None of this really seems to solve that she is insanely op top lane. I mean it's not really an option to not engage her top lane 1v1 at some point unless you are just conceding lane.

As a support main I really thought she would be terrible to lane against... Best counter is someone with hard cc. I used thresh and completely dominated her by simply landing a hook. The key is to wait for her to hop and land that hook.

actually i think kalista is op against Darius Garen Olaf when she is playing as a top laner and build tank. she only needs attack speed in this case since her rend passive can infinite stack lol. but this is just my thought since she lost her W passive and ult if she goes top lane, but W active still gives you some nice vision while you go ham. i totally agree with the dmg is lower than other adc part, her Q is strong but easy to dodge and if you dodge it its time to counter attack baby, rend stacks sounds op but meanwhile graves can just buckshot your face doing 8 stack rend dmg instantly. What im saying is kalista is strong against certain champ, but you cant instantlock her like a solution for all. like Caitlyn .

This, this needs to be said. People are complaining about a champion that honestly feels that she needs buffs more then nerfs.

One of the main arguments is that she is OP in lane.

Kalistas attack speed early on is horrid, meaning her mobility is heavily impacted early.
Bush control lets you out trade a Kalista easily, since her passive forces her to miss if she loses sight.
She gets out damaged by basically every other adc in the game.

If Kalista uses her slow (rend) early in a fight, then that means her damage output drops significantly. She's still easy for assassins to kill, same as many other adc's. She has good utility, but her overall damage in fights is next to nothing for the safety margin she has. Kog'Maw has twice the damage she does, with slightly less safety. Lucian easily has the damage needed. Even Sivir can fight her in terms of overall damage.

The one thing that might make her OP is how her ult functions. Zhonya's based effects are usually incredibly strong, even if it's a very conditional ultimate. She reminds me of a reverse Ashe; ashe has a lot of consistent cc, scouting ability, and an aoe ultimate, but no movement buffs. In turn, kalista has non-stop movement late game, in turn for little to no cc, but still having the scouting ability and aoe ultimate.

even jinx beats her i was playing a game last night with her i destroyed teh jinx in lane but she caught up over the game. I found her in the jungle on her team's side we duked it out 1v1 with close to the same amount of gold and she beat me without landing her w i was astonished but it makes sense she rewards teamwork not the skill of the player.

Teemo is used as Supp by some devil worshipping LoL cults. Would his blind shot disable her post auto-attack dash? If so, wait until Mars aligns with Jupiter and release the devil child in the bot lane.
