A bronze player needs help.

Hi. I'm currently bronze 1, and I know I suck. Right now, I'm just trying to work on improving. I've watched a couple of my replays, and ultimately two thirds of my losses are caused because I don't know how to play when my team and I are behind. If we're down ~4K gold, we just keep begging for team fights and keep snow balling the enemy team. But my real question is, what do I do if my team is behind? Should we split push? Force a baron? IDK, but please tell me. Thanks!

Hey bud, I used to have the same problem. Listen up. When you're behind, first off, you should not even be grouping. That's step 1. You need to focus on farm, especially if you're jungling. Try putting off grouping until as long as possible, all the while trying to level up and catch up in gold so you can be able to fight the enemy. Also, unless 3 of the enemy are dead, and your team can tank baron without taking too much of a beating, go for it. You're gonna need as many objectives as possible. Last thing. Try to NEVER be behind in drags. I've noticed that no matter how ahead one team is over the other, 5th drag determines games as much as anything. That's pretty much it. Need more specifics? Just ask.

And look for picks. If you see the a fed enemy top and the rest of his team is miles away, 1 vs 5 him and take the free shutdown gold. Continue farming until you can get the next free kill.

Thanks, that's really helpful. So basically, play safe, farm, and if we get the opportunity, go for baron? I have two questions. First, what if the enemy team is rushing into our base and trying to take an inhib, or if they're trying to take baron? Should we give it up? Or should we fight for it? Second, after farming, when do we know it's safe to try to contest objectives? And thanks for replying :)

Alright, this really depends on 2 things. First off, how ahead are they? I'm not talking about kills so much as I'm talking about levels and gold. If you guys are 20 kills behind, yet both teams have around the same number of items and level, then try to contest. Don't go in when baron is at around full health, more when it's down to 5000 or less, that way you maximize your chance to steal, and they're low enough that it's possible to win a fight. Same thing applies to inhibitors. Listen, inhibitors decide games most of the time, but they're not worth losing 3-4 members of your team by trying to contest it. If you guys are all 5 and they're only 3, try and contest, but NEVER force an all out 5v5 fight. Secondly, this applies to both baron and inhibitors. How long are you in game for? If you're 40-50 minutes in game, around the point when everyone has full build, do not be scared to fight. If the enemy is ahead by 20 kills by that point, all it means is your team isn't too good compared to them, so go for 5v4 and 5v3 scenarios. Also, last thing, this applies to every game. Never surrender, I've done comebacks in some games where we were 30 kills behind, yet we won. Never hit the /ff button and you WILL win more games.
