Matchmaking not up to riots quality standards?

just feel like not onyl the player attitude towards where or not you should invest seriously in a ranked game has deteriorated but also the matchmaking mechanics themselves have suffered recently.

Or is it just me?

I play with silver vs. diamond etc.

I know its a different ranking for flex and solo q.

Still a diamond 5 solo q player who is ranked gold 5 in flex cannot be treated als gold 5 in flex matchmaking ...right? RIGHT?^^
