Longish post incoming, please no flaming or anything. I am just trying to understand all the complaining and try and figure out from where it all comes so maybe we can reach an agreement.

So I am noob and I will admit it. I have also been seeing all the qq threads made about Vayne and how she needs nerfs. Let me first get this out of the way: I dislike Vayne, no I despise her. I love playing melee bruisers which means I can never touch her. So yeah, but I will try to be as unbiased as possible.

From what I have understood the reason everybody complains is the amount of true damage that she gets from her silver bolts. I admit I do feel its a bit too much. 8% of your maximum hp is a tad high. I have also noticed that people state that a drawback Vayne has is her range. Her range is a drawback? Uhhh she has 550 range, at least that is what the wiki says. How is that low? Draven has the same range. Graves, Sivir and Lucian have a smaller range. And none have her ridiculous scaling. Yes Sivir has nice waveclear, Graves has his burst but his burst can be countered by armor and he has to get in your face to do all that damage. For Lucian I am not too sure what he has going for him, could someone explain? I know he has his double shot and stuff but? I brought up Draven so I guess I have to state that yes I know Draven can hit 1.5k crits and stuff like that but he can only do that with spinning axes. Okay people will say just press q and ta-da you haveth the spinning axes. Ok but the other team can see where your axes are landing which makes it easy to stop Draven, just run up to that spot cc and blow him up.

People say that Vayne is weak early because she needs to build attack speed. Wait "needs", no she doesn't need to build attack speed. Yes I know that scales the best with her silver bolts and stuff. But she doesn't need to build all that. Say she starts BF Sword first. She has the same damage on her AA as any other ADC but her third AA is gonna hurt a lot more and can't be itemized against. Ignore Draven for all this, just remember that Vayne can condemn him away from his axe lowering his damage considerably so there is that.

I am going to stop it here and continue the rant on another comment I'll make. I just wanted to see your opinion on this.

Vayne is not op. I cannot say this enough. Sivir has a super long range Q which she could choose to harass with constantly instead of AA's. Vayne does not have ANY aoe spells. Vayne requires the player to keep attacking the same target in order to proc her silver bolts. Sivir can use her passive to engage OR to get away since she gets movement speed just by attacking. Dude I hate how you say that "Vayne can just condemn Draven away blah blah blah" cause guess what? That's not how the lane goes. As a Vayne main I've had a lot of people pick Draven and crush me in lane cause as long as he catches his axe he's gonna rape you. And if he has two going, oh my glob. I've WANTED to learn Draven BECAUSE of that. Draven and Vayne are very similar in the sense of when you master them then they shine. Sometimes I don't even feel up to playing Vayne cause of how much you have to think before you act or that your team wants you to carry them.

Well, you asked for the community's take so here I am.

People have been whining about being outplayed by Vayne since she was first released, through nerfs and buffs and more nerfs and meta changes, no matter what. Here's my take: You got outplayed. ADCs are in general are in a bad spot right now. We need to stop playing ring-around-the-rosie with the ADC nerf cycle because as soon as Vayne and Tristana gets nerfed, there will be screams for more nerfs from the next ADC that replaces them as the dominant ADCs (not that I'd particularly call Vayne dominant right now). ADCs have been swept under the rug behind all these tank jungle buffs, devourer jungle buffs, AP itemization buffs, juggernaut "buffs". This is coming from someone who does everything in his power to avoid having to play bot lane.

Hell, even Gosu (THE Vayne main) pretty much stopped playing ADC until they receive some buffs.

I am not crying for nerfs lol. I didn't finish writing my cuz it was too much. I think Riot should think about low elo as well. We are most of the playing community. So to ignore us would prove to be a bad idea and would just flat out suck.
Now I understand what you people say. I agree just nerfing adc is not right because as much as I dislike Vayne watching an ally or enemy Vayne get a pentakill is nothing short of impressive. All the outplays and dodges. I understand Vayne is a duelist and probably one of the best. Though i think Jax is a problem for her. The problem might just be that there is no other definitive tank buster. There is nobody else who is capable of wrecking tanks with that much ease. Maybe that is why people are so annoyed with Vayne. What do you guys think? Does it have to do with the fact that a ranged champ, with a tumble, and hard cc. Maybe if there was another champ or two with a hard kit but one that rewarded as nicely as Vayne's does.

Or maybe people are just forgetting Jax and Nasus who IMO attain raid boss status and just split push your towers to death and as Trick so eloquently puts it open d'gates. Lol or they are forgetting young Veigar who one shots so many things ez pz. Ryze or Mr. Infinite CDR spam spells and blow you up. Or Kassadin I have so many blinks that scale in damage and I have retarded amounts of burst. And finally Kalista this horrible thing >.> which just jumps around and does so much rend damage it isn't even funny. But truth be told what I feel Vayne needs is some number adjustments or another champ that can tank bust. Any ideas?
