Ivern's Q Mechanic not working probably?

Hi, so I've been absent from the game for a couple of months and one change I noticed was that Ivern is now a Range Champion and no longer Melee. Honestly, I was happy with this change, however, I notice that this change doesn't really work with his Q ability. Ivern's Q allows him to root a target and allows all ally to move to that target based on their "attack range". So this is where things get buggy. Ivern's Q still register him with his previous melee attack range. This brings Ivern closer to his target than he needs to be, which can be good or bad Let's be honest no Ivern want to dive face into a Darius. Even when he's in the bush it still considers him melee range unlike it did before he was converted to a range champion. I don't know if this was intended or not, but if riot could fix this and make his Q work with his actual attack range that would be great or even have it to where its melee range for Monster and attack range for champion when Ivern does his q would be fine since I can understand his Q ideas for Jungle. As an Ivern player, I do want to enjoy my champion just like everyone else even if the champion doesn't get much love like the other champions.

Ideally the best option for Ivern is to have Options. Break it into Melee and Ranged.

Reactivate Q for melee. Right click for Ranged Auto.

Some times you wanna get point blank for the Shield pop. Some times you do not wanna be point blank and die to an angry enemy champion.

This definitley is a problem, i agree with Kai Guy option - reactivate q for melee range, right click for auto range. I see why they left it like this though, because going to camps across walls with q melee is needed i think.
