The state of botlane in soloq (lower elo)

Statistically, league of legends is not a skill based game. Throughout every game i've had in the past few patches the games have either been complete pubstomps or hard losses, i understand that im only silver and that if i actually deserve gold i will naturally climb but is that the case in reality? There is a very good chance that even if you can consistently win your lane your other lanes will loose, at the moment top and jungle decide who wins the game based on who wins the lane and who has the best macro play. Also, there is a very good chance that top and mid are running summoner 12 which means that if you play an adc like Draven Jhin or Ashe you have literally no chance at escaping ganks from summoner 12 , and ontop of that most of the laners will have item 2420 so you cant play Draven like you used to be able to do because the meta revolves around hyper-safe farm adcs like Tristana Varus and Twitch . I would like to hear fellow adc mains' thoughts on this topic and if changes should be made to make the botlane more open for champions that enjoy playing agro and champions that can try to farm through the lane and carry late.

I think you contradict yourself. Isn't winning lane and macro play a skill?

What i meant is that statistically even if you win the lane (botlane) there are 4 other roles to rely on and since jungle is so influential atm its roughly 50/50 on who wins lane (the chance is who can win lane and play macro)

Should just take out the skill comment. It's still all about your teams skill. Maybe you meant your individual ranked climb isn't 100% about your skill. Not league of legends isn't a skill based game.

How is league not a skill based game. Almost every part of the game requires some skill. Laning,CSing,Positioning, Even Dodging you need to have some Skill and beyond that with needing game knowledge and understanding macro. The game is very complex, if league doesn't take skill then there wouldn't be an elo system

You're problem is that you need to look for reasons why you'd get ganked. If you're hard pushing then it's obvious that they're gonna gank you. If you're playing Draven, then your existence will bring all sorts of ganks your way. Also, identify how your enemies can gank you. Junglers like Kayn and Zac can come at you from any angle, and mid laners like Aurelion Sol and Azir can go over walls too. I play both ADC and Mid, so if I'm ganking bot I want to corner them so that they have to go through me to get to safety, get what I mean, all the mechanics can't outplay the enemkes getting good positioning around you can 3v1'ing you. My suggestion is to work on game sense and checking your mini map. Make that thing as big as you can because many times it's the difference between life and death. Pay attention to missing and warning pings as well. I've had head banging moments when I see the enemy jungler coming is I start running and my support standing there, and then they die or you do too trying to peel for them so the other team doesn't snowball.

There is nothing wrong with an aggressive play style in bot lane. Just expect to be ganked if you're pushed up and have been there forever and a year. As much as I hate to say it, it's really only you who can reduce the amounts of ganks that get you killed. Try to picture yourself having the perfect setup for your team to gank and then apply that to figuring out what your lane opponents are thinking.

Also, look into learning how to freeze the wave. As Draven, you don't have to push to fend off the opponent, you can freeze the wave which will screw up their farm, find one of your minions about to die, and punish your opponent if they try to last hit it.

League is truly a skill based game that you seem to enjoy. I find myself not being fully aware of situations in league which can be a problem, but I will tell you that when you're thinking critically in game you're gonna play much better.

I wish you the best in your climb as an ADC. Good luck!

Also you can watch Tyler1 cuz he's been reformed and streaming again.

Sounds a lot like you wrote this post in anger. First off, if you win lane/lose game, it's usually because the winning ADC either didn't facilitate his losing team, or he didn't push his advantage far enough to stop the other opponents from winning for their losing ADC. On top of this, AD scaling for ADCs tends to be extremely reliant on their supports a lot more in the late game than in the early game.

Now lets talk TP. Traditionally, if a top laner teleports bot, it's usually because your pushed up WAY to far. And even then, if you catch it in time (which is not hard to do), there are a vast number of ways to escape (or fight). There's trememdous mobility and escape options for many duos. Most of the imte, top laners don't wanna wastp TP like that in low elo anyway.

I think bot lane is fine. But people overestimate the lane in lower elo. You can't really carry from it most of the time, that's why i switched jungle and play adc seldom. The reason is simple, too many variables:

  1. You die too fast (alone) -> you need at least a good sup to protect you. But in silver elo 30% of the time is auto-fill.
  2. Support make the lane. If the enemy team has a very good sup, he can block your snowballing at worst. At best, he can destroy you making it hard to even farm in a frozen lane.
  3. Enemy camping. If you team is not reactive, you get wrecked by mid, jungle, even top
  4. No roaming potential -> your mid/top feeds? Well, good luck stopping that.
  5. Enemy bot is a lot of time premade. This makes them pretty strong since coordination with your sup is key

So unless i play with a friend or a reliable sup, I prefer jungling.
