Why do I only see DMG Supports in my Ranked games

As a ''Marksman'' main I just keep considering if I want to keep playing my favorite role in this meta. Every game I see an enemy morgana and an allied zyra, and I'm sick of it. The fact that most Dmg supports offer no peel potential at all really grinds my gears. I understand that if you're a mid main and you get autofilled you would play something like that but that's just not the case anymore. I miss the times when you would qeue up with a Braum and get matched against a Nautilus Ezreal lane. It's already not fun to play marksman against this assasin meta, but in addition to that having no peel potential and an extra person on the enemy team who can one-shot you for no reason is just the worst. So please, throw away your brands, zyra's or vel kozzes and just play a support whom is enjoyable for everyone involved.

Traditional supports leave much to be desired when it comes to feeling like you have an outcome on the game. You normally have to rely on teammates to do the actual traditional style of carry. Damage supports have given us a breathe of fresh air when it comes to feeling in control over the game.

If you are so sick of it, become a support so you don't have to deal with it. As for 'no peel' from damage supports. Brand has a stun. Zyra is the queen of disengage (so that should tell you something). Malzahar has his ult.

Is the ADC going to melt them by himself with no hook and no knockup? Blitz does more than Zyra, you're just damage obsessed...

Are you actually trying to say morgana and zyra have no peel? They're not even mid lane mages really, their primary role is support and has been for a long time.

Uhh no they don't. A long root doesn't count as peel since it contradicts OP's point, duh. Also, black shield is so dumb for a support to have. :P

NOT THEY ARE NOT! THEY ARE PRIMARY MID LANE MAGES THAT GET USED AS SECONDARY SUPPORT AND RIOT NERFS THEM BECAUSE THEY DO A GOOD JOB OF IT.

They are, actually. Morg is played as support about 85% of the time, and zyra about 95% of the time. I don't remember the last time I saw either of them mid. Even if it wasn't their primary role initially, it is now and has been for a while.

becuase it is easy to climb with and if your adc is crap you can replace them. i pray im playing agasint a ap support tbh. I myself play as j4 supp because its awesome and its a lot easier to kill a ap supp then a tank supp

Well yeah in low leagues AP sup makes sense somewhat because you will occasionally get the super garbage ADCs that somehow can't aim AAs.
