How come no M6/M7 shard everytime I get an S?
Is there a cooldown or something? Does it coincide with the chest cooldown?

Deep Terror Nami2 votesIt isn't dependent on available Hextech Chests, but there are some common reasons you may not earn a token. You can't earn a M6/7 token in the same game you reach Mastery 5/6, and it has to be on Normal/Ranked SR (ARAM won't cut it, for example).
Can you give some details about which match you should've received one?
Edit: If I was a betting fish, I'd say you're referring to your latest amazing Zed game; looks like you reached Mastery 5 in that game. Grats! but you would need to play another match to start earning the M6 tokens.
Nuclear Muse1 votesI don't think I can give a specific game, but as you can see, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/143221826837807104/438847024620765184/unknown.png I've got a lot of M6/M5 and some of those champs (Kai'sa/Jinx/Jhin/Ahri/ etc. ) I've gotten a lot of S in multiple games but no shard. I'm just not sure if there is a cooldown or something.
Deep Terror Nami1 votesNo cooldown, but if you can't figure out why you didn't get a mastery token you can submit a Support Ticket or reach out to Player Support through Twitter and they can probably find out what happened.
