So since the new draft pick update, I've noticed that Riot has removed Team Builder. This is a huge bummer since I believe that team builder was the most fair way to get your lane and champ without annoying auto-locker and what not. Please help bring Team Builder back!
I am currently trying to practice a Kog jungle for my ranked team, games are a 20-40 minute comittment, which is a lot of time used for someone who works full-time and wants to use their time efficiently to achieve their own goals.
So I queue up, I put Jungle as my primary, and fill as my secondary, because YOU HAVE to put a secondary, rather than an option to just not put a secondary and wait longer in queue. It's annoying because some people want to just play the meta, they don't want to be forced to group with someone like myself, speaking from experience, there are times when I just don't want a Veigar ADC on my team, which is why you'd hit "Find New Team" in team builder, and that's fine, I never thought less of people for going Veigar ADC, I just didn't feel like participating with them on their endeavor at that time.
So anyways, after queuing, what do I get? Support. I get support. I can't practice the thing I wanted to practice, and screw blind pick auto-locking because I'm pretty sure that's reportable, additionally, what if someone else decided they wanted to Jungle too? Double Jungle? Yep, still can't practice.
Now I could just create a custom game and hope that the people joining are both near my skill level and feel like dealing with a Kog jungle, or...
Riot could quit being idiots about this and just let people experiment on their own time, with a team that is alright with their experiment, rather than forcing off-meta picks into teams that simply don't want them. I cannot believe Riot would be so ignorant to how the public actually likes to play by completely removing team builder like this, especially without clarifying whether or not it's okay to just pick what you want, and if it's reportable or not. I don't want to get a ban of any kind, and I certainly don't want to ruin people's day, but come on now, seriously? This is a hell of an oversight. People need to upvote the shit out of this post to get it back, because this is just a complete crock as it is.
Im just tired of being forced to call a lane right as you enter a blind Q. Team builder brought me back into the game after losing the desire to play as much because of the nightmare of blind pick.
Several things that make me want to play Teambuilder, but can't.
Learning to play new champs -You are not guaranteed the role you are trying to improve. -It's draft pick. The champ you are trying to play may get banned. -It's draft pick. The champ you are trying to play may get picked before you pick. -It's draft pick. If you pick first you are more likely going to get countered vs unknown seemingly random Teambuilder.
This means you have to face a dodge penalty if you don't want to spend 20-45 minutes playing a champion that isn't helping you improve your skills, or a game that is incredibly hopeless because you are going full elo without champ experience.
Trolling/Wait time -Increased dodging for reasons listed above. -The afk check feels more likely to fail vs Teambuilder. -You have lost the ability to hand pick your team comp and are forced to rely on the hope that your team sees things your way. -Team banned your intended pick. I have stopped announcing my intended pick until after banning phase. -Team comp. The composition of my teams have been terrible probably for a lot of the reasons listed above. -Team frustrated because they warned about comp and morale is gone before load screen/everyone hates you.
Overall I am not ready to play draft pick because I am not skilled enough with a wide variety of champions, and blind pick is even more demoralizing. Riot, you are killing my desire to play this game. My chance of managing to get a good game has decreased to the point that I expect every game to be a ragefest before I even open the launcher. RIP Teambuilder... </3

without team builder available, it really makes it hard for me to practice as the new champion i just bought since my lane keeps getting called before i can even have a chance to type in what it is. quite frustrating especially since i have limited time to play before i go to work
Also, another down side is people can't choose specific champs you want on your team now. In blind pick it always seems there's that foolish mid who will lock in Zed no matter what.. BRING BACK TEAMBUILDER
