Jayce to strong? Tips for playing against him?

In my opinion jayce is way to strong. I cant trade against him in lane cause he just instantly knocks me away. I normally play Darius and I know how to play against every champion except jayce. Does anyone have the same problem and if so, what do you do? Any tips and or tricks are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Jayce is by far Darius's biggest counter. But here's my tip.

To win this lane as Darius, you have to be precise with your spells. His cannon auto attack range is slightly shorter than your Apprehend range. When he gets closer to last hit, use your Apprehend to hook him in, immediately walk behind him so he'll be stuck between you and your turret side. From then, use whatever you have for max trade. (Q -> W -> Autos -> Ignite if needed -> Ult if you have) Use the brushes to dissuade his auto attack poke and only come out when last hitting or a full combo trade. This is still a hard task because you need to predict his movements to time Apprehend with his auto attacks and failing to do so means free damage for him. However, it should take only 1-2 all ins to kill as Jayce is squishy.

I think you should find another top laner for the Jayce matchup specifically, if you are having that much trouble with him. I don't think Jayce is particularly strong outside of his poke. He is an easily gankable target since he shoves waves a lot. I also don't think he scales very well in comparison to other top laners, he brings a lot less to team fights. Darius plays an early aggression game and you can't play that why against a Jayce.

You may want to try out Jax against him. Jax outscales Jayce, can gap close, stun, and block auto-attacks. The problem is you would be very vulnerable early and would just need to farm, but once you kill him in lane he will no longer be a problem for you unless he gets help.

I don't know what style you like to play though in top lane. I play a very passive farming style and prefer champions that scale into the mid or late game. I don't play aggressive champions in the top lane.
