Watch OnyxTJ's League of Legends video: fucking serious? - Plays.tv

Like WHY is that even allowed? Illaoi literally just 2 shot the Nasus and throughout the rest of the game my and my friends in this video couldn't really do much to her unless we did a 1v5 with her, and even then she killed 1-3 people. Please Rito, fix this

Jumping on a illa, that is ahead, in the tentacles zone while getting caught in the E and R ..... yup OP as hell.

Illaoi already had a kill on Nasus. Nasus built a mana crystal. A mana crystal. You're playing Evelynn.

Almost no viable top laners should be unable to 1v2 in that situation even before you consider Nasus starting the fight perfectly between two tentacles before Illaoi even ulted..

Certified Illaoi player here. A few general tips against lady tentacles.

-DON'T FIGHT NEAR THE TENTACLES. -Illaoi is strong in areas she had time to setup. Bait her away from the zones, or simply wipe out the tentacles beforehand. THEN FIGHT HER. -Bait her ultimate. The range on her idol slam is really short. Nothing is stopping you from walking away and re-engaging 10 seconds later. -If your spirit is broken, don't engage Illaoi, its asking to die. Instead wait it out or kill the tentacles to end it.

Also ranged top laners are the biggest middle finger to her in lane. Since they can safely wipe out the tentacles without effort, and never have to worry about her getting close.

In short, Illaoi is strong in areas where she has under control. Avoid fighting her in tentacle heavy areas. Be smart about your engages against her and you'll be fine. DON'T BLINDLY RUSH HER.

3 tentacles and the damage amplification from test of spirit. the nasus was in the worst spot imaginable.

nasus doesnt need to all in illaoi as far as i understand. someone mentioned he can stack his q on her tentacles, which actually makes him a pretty heavy counter to her.

She is literally the definition of a "come at me bro!" type champ. If you fight her where she wants she wins. if you let her control the fight/ map she wins. If you decide to stand next to her as a squishy she wins. All in all you have to exploit her weaknesses. She has terrible map mobility. Her cooldowns aren't the greatest, so if you can bait out a skill shot and she misses jump in. When she jumps in the air to ult you have a few seconds to flash/ mobility move out of it. You can easily win against her if you bring some invuln champs. I seriously doubt a good tryndamere or kayle ult will feel much of the brunt of her attacks. Heck even fizz with a well timed poll can prevent the lions share of her dmg.

edit also as mentioned else where any champ that gains bonuses from killing things/ having things die near them will have a good chance vs Illaoi if played smart.

It's your own fault for ever trying to fight her. Illaoi is balanced learn2play.

Susan is a nightmare lane for Illaoi soooo this is just a case of a bad doggy who only had a mana thing and boots trying to fight Illaoi in her terf.

That being said, I do feel like it's less-than-true saying that it's easy to counter Illaoi. "Just bait out her ult and walk away lol" welll ... top lane is a special lane. Many people play champs who have to get an early lead to be useful late game which kinda makes them wanna try to kill you ASAP. As long as you chill out til 6 you're likely to put them in the dirt because once they commit not every champ has an escape that gets them away from an Illaoi with a decide item. And a smart Illaoi will hold onto ult until it looks like they're all in without and escape.

I've been playing against Wukongs lately for some reason and it's really a matter of knowing how the champ works. If you know the options a champ has you're likely not gonna blow ult until you're sure it's gonna be good.

they need to limit the amount of tentacles she can have up at once. I think no more than 3!

Completely agree, played a game recently where Illaoi was like 2/7 but the ult still did 1200-1600 damage to everyone on our team in a closing team fight that lost us the game. Too strong, outrageous.

if someone's having problem as nasus against illaoi, then he definitely needs more practice. it's one of the easiest nasus's match ups

DeathBurst6/22/2016, 5:07:02 PM1 votes

You fought in the middle of 5 tentacles which hit both you and your spirit. Imagine if Illaoi allowed you to hit 5 free Q on her, would she still be alive?

EWBS Mithilesh6/22/2016, 10:58:10 PM1 votes

well you didnt take out her tentacles you left 4 of them just sitting there then you fought her on her territory

Ruin Lance6/22/2016, 10:59:27 PM1 votes

wow lmao illaoi doing tons of damage to someone who's standing still in her ult and has no armor? what a surprise!!!

thekingofnido6/23/2016, 5:58:55 PM1 votes

you have no idea how to play against her that's all. don't say someone is op just because you have 0 clue of how her kit works. learn to counter her not just cry and call her op.

thekingofnido6/23/2016, 6:02:23 PM1 votes

i pick nasus as a counter to illaoi. just use your q to kill her tentacles free stacks. and then just scale into late game. ez
