Jgling: drop everything and help?

So say you are jgling, and currently farming cause all your lanes are doing well and pushed. Then one of your teams lanes gets gabled. Supposing that your teammate does not get bursted down immediately, and you're nearby, do you stop farming (like, you are actually in combat with a jg monster) and rush to help your teammate? Basically, when do you stop in the middle of fighting jg monsters when a teammate needs immediate help, whether in lane or chased into jg

Depends on if you can actually get there in time to help. This in turn depends on which champion you're playing; someone like Rammus would be able to speed over there ASAP, while an Olaf would take a while longer. If you're, for example, doing Gromp on blue side and your top laner gets ganked, I'd probably rush over there to help since you're already so close, especially if the blast cone plant is available. But if you're in the middle of doing Krugs while your mid lane is getting ganked, there's nothing you can really do.

Whenever I see one of my lanes get ganked while I'm too far away to help, I usually take the opportunity to either gank another lane or counter-jungle/take a free drag. Knowing where the enemy jungler is, it's a lot easier (and a more efficient use of time) to make plays where they aren't.
