Akali: Good vs the Bad, Bad vs the Good

To be Blunt, this was really not a champ that needed to be changed as much as it was in 5.2. Yes I am an Akali player. I used here off and on to get to gold. Like every Assassin, if she gets ahead, she will do very well, but to be honest that is every champ. I have been ok with most of the changes to her EXCEPT the change to the E no longer proccing Q. This is a critical component of laning and needed to competitively trade harass. Riot really needs revert this change.

It is a huge laning phase nerf. The range of E is greater than an auto attack and she use to be able to trade by using Q->E to proc damage. Now that we need to run into full auto attack range it runs the risk of taking much more poke and not being able to trade anymore.

You don't understand how to double q proc. Double q proc was Q wait R>aa (because you can aa right after ult to proc Q)>Q>E (because you can't auto that fast after casting Q with early attack speed you use the E to get the second proc almost immedialtey

It's like the Riven fast combo previously.

Your title is really ironic; I've played Akali for a while, before the nerfs, and I usually DIDN'T use E to proc Q. I'd proc it with an auto (because I would get a Lich Bane), and then E quickly after for more burst. She doesn't need E to proc.

Given how hard Akali snowballs, how easy she is to use, and how well she can come back from behind to pubstomp games, I think a small nerf to her laning was more than fair.

Honestly if they lowered gunblades spellvamp to 10% and increased the ap and ad it gave, it would solve the spell vamp problem nerfing akali but not crippling her like the current nerfs have. I think you are 100% correct. The nerfs need to be removed.

Nerfing the spellvamp on gunblade makes Mordekaiser very sad. Assassins shouldn't really have much sustain (even if Zed builds BoRK first)
