Trying to improve

Hey everyone. Hopefully I can get some much needed advice here. I'm a fairly new player who is rank 34 and have been busting my butt trying to actually make the most of the game, but it has started to feel pretty hopeless considering how I get treated in about 70% of matches.

I have spent most my time finding champs I like, finding which roles I prefer (tried all the lanes), and learning about the basics as much as I can through watching video guides (dozens of hours worth) and friends play. Unfortunately no matter how much effort I feel I put in, I feel pretty useless. I ended up deciding on jungle, I actually really like the role and the way it is set up and how it works overall, but even though I'm trying my best, it doesn't prevent me from being yelled at for not ganking an overfed Garen in top lane that's 3-4 levels above me, or for jumping into a 1v4 on my own when I see that our team bot is about to die but there's no way I'd make it there in time, or from getting counter jungled so hard that it really shows how inexperienced I am. While there are ways in game to deal with someone treating me like I'm a bug under their shoe, there really isn't a way for me to deal with people who have 100s upon 100s of more games than I do and know the insides and outs of everything.

I WANT to get better, I WANT to improve, but I feel completely stuck. I don't know what to do anymore and so here I am, trying to get some support and get better. While I have one friend who's a jungle main and has taught me about pathing, vision placement, and when to take ganking opportunities... I'm kind of hoping I can find even more insight that maybe he hasn't taught me and I can continue to get better.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Jungle is the role that require tons of gaming understanding, is the hardest one by far for a new player. If you really enjoy it and you don't mind taking your time to get good w/e, otherwise I'd suggest you to switch role for now.

Edit: is also the role that grant you the most amount of flaming, blaming etc, keep that in mind too

I appreciate the response. And I do understand. Like, jumping into jungle is a huge thing since it prioritizes a lot of game sense and I get that. I tried role champs for awhile and maybe it's just how I perceive it, or maybe how my brain works but they aren't necessarily fun for me. I'm too impatient and I get bored of farming CS really quickly. While I understand the prioritizing of last hitting minions, it gets on my nerves more than anything which is why a friend suggested jungle and I've been enjoying that pretty well (outside of the backlash lol)

I appreciate the response.

If you don't like CSing you can try support too.

That... is actually a fair response. I haven't found one I enjoy though. I'm really big into quick and fluid champs and the supports I've been able to play haven't really felt like such, but I am very much open to recommendations.

You need to elaborate that a bit more. What champs you use/like?

Well when I did laning. I preferred champs like Diana & Xayah. They seemed to connect very well and kind of fit what I enjoy. In Jungle, I've been really into Kha'Zix, though I did try Kindred (something feels wonky about them.. I really enjoy the style but the ult is very finicky) and Nunu (while I had fun, he's a bit too slow for longterm interest). I've tried quite a lot of champs through ARAM's and free rotation week, but these were the one's that stood out enough for me to actually pay for.

All the champs you mentioned pack a lot of damage, so I guess that's your thing? You could try stuff like Brand support etc.

I dont think it's so much about the damage but more the way they engage is what I really enjoy. Brand wasn't very fun for me when I did try him out. Sure he is explosive, but he just sits back and launches fire at people. I really like the whole charge in and destroy aspect of champs if any of this makes any sense lol

Dunno. I personally LOVE Leona and how she just dash into the enemy to mess them up, but she doesn't pack that much damage.
