I asked for this in multiple tickets, and I'm sincerely grateful that you have finally allowed me to opt-in to a no chat experience.
My enjoyment of the game has improved immensely.
To all those who say "just mute all"; that wasn't enough. I don't want to be able to type myself. I want the entire idea that words can be typed and sent to other players to be removed from the game entirely.
Honestly i have to agree with this.
Chat should have no part in this game.. Since we have pings, emotes, and even voice chat now.
Honestly i think the majority of my games have Toxic and hateful chat about 80% of the time and maybe if i'm lucky 20% of actual positive chat or even just flat out Decent chat.
I would recommend riot looks into just removing chat period from the game.
Then again i'm also a firm believer riot needs to stop Banning / punishing accounts for Being toxic . I get racism and hate speech ok.
But some one saying Noob and venting on a player no. IF some one is being "Toxic" then mute them, if you sit there and take it non stop then you're just as guilty as the person spouting it.
Odd that you feel the need to post this on boards but I honestly understand and support this decision wholeheartedly.
Detoxing league
Turning off chat forced me to watch minimap all the time and ping better. I re-enabled it during a game for fun and BOOOM two players were having a nice chat "YOU F****** MORON WHY U NO GANK- YOU ARE at 3cs DEFICIT, IM NOT GANKING A LOSING LANE "... ok Imagine opening your windows when there is a typhoon blasting outside :D Nope.
