Genuinely worried and in need of help (for my account)
Yeah, I'm worried about an online game. Who would've thought?
Anyways, as it goes, I'll make this as simple as possible.
I decided a while ago (over a year, actually) that I needed/wanted a break from League of Legends. There was a mix between school stuff and family issues that just made it impossible for me to enjoy my time here. Recently, I finished with (most) of that stuff and heard that I had a few friends who played League of Legends. I decided to try and get into the game again and play with them. I log in to discover that I am permabanned. For toxicity.
This leads me to believe that my account security was compromised in some way or another. None of my details were changed, so somebody probably just got in and tried to get the account banned. It could have been an actual breach of security from a hacker, but I doubt that - nobody would spend that much effort getting into my account. The more likely situation is that my details were guessed, simple as that. Now, I made the mistake of using the same summoner name and username, and my password was actually very simple (repeated numbers and then my initials.) It could have been somebody who knew and held a grudge against me, or my brother (who I had a huge falling out with around the time the "family issues" had arisen.)
I contacted Riot Support about it. They told me they weren't able to find any evidence that my account was hacked. I'd figure as much - it wasn't hacked in the traditional sense, just accessed without my permission. I replied to them with a bit more information, but that's as much as I can do. Is there any advice any of you can give me, or could I get some much needed help from an actual employee over at Riot? I spent a lot of time and money on that account and I'd really hate to see it lost without chance of recovery.
I just want to play a game.
EDIT: Oh, and I'm sure there are those of you who will be skeptical about the sincerity of this post. Considering this is the internet, these things probably pop up rather often without any way to discern truth from lie.
