Orange Essence Output Game Weak

As of now I feel like upgrading a skin shard into a permanent skin is way too long and tedious of a process. An epic skin shard takes 1050 orange essence to upgrade but only outputs 270 orange essence. That means it would take you getting lucky enough to get 4 more epic skin shards to get that skin you set your eyes on. Considering the odds of getting 4 epic skin shards this orange essence ratio seems a bit underwhelming. I would just like some feedback on why this is so... I still love the game and understand that these are FREE skins.
