Is is normal to lose as much LP as you win in ranked?

It is even logic? You win 16 LP, then you lose 21 the next game? Then Riot wonder why there is so many toxic players while its THEIR fault if players are toxic.

It's all based on your MMR. If your MMR is lower than the average for the division you're in, you will win less and lose more LP until you're in the division more appropriate for you. If you can consistently win, then your MMR will keep going up and you'll start getting better LP gains.

No, that just means that your MMR is lower than what the division average is. But yes, it's extremely frustrating is just dumb imo.

LP gains are determined by your MMR (the old ELO system). LP literally means nothing; you can be gold V and still have mid-low silver MMR (and play with that division's players) without dropping.

If your gains are lower than your losses it means the system is trying to place you closer to your mmr.

If you're D5 that might be the reason.

The LP gains are fucked up in D5, though i dunno if they fixed it.

The change to a division system has created more ladder anxiety which makes each game hurt more.
