Adjustment to Death Timers

TL;DR - - - > Death Timers based on up time and cap based on game length. Giving a losing lane(s) a chance to attribute still in an already snowball-ish mid-late game.

I've seen a few threads about death timers as well as quite a number of where the game is at right now post 20min.

Basically if you're a few towers down and get aced between 20-30min the other team can just walk up mid and end if they are 5-8 kills ahead. This doesn't really present much counter play, especially if your team has lost a couple of towers early on, makes it hard to split push. Basically have to win a team fight and have an adv. to retake lanes.

My idea for Riot is something similar to how shooters have losing streaks set up. Definitely not saying to favor feeding, since the function of being worth no gold after a few deaths anyway is great.

But what if there was an adjustment to the death timers, that there was a cap ( Ex: 50 sec dt) at 30min; where your death timer was based on your uptime and caps based on game length.

Basically it would help losing lanes have a chance to get back to lane quicker after getting ganked/losing early game and it would help balance out an already over-snowballed mid game. Because as fun as it is to win 20-4 at 20, it really doesn't leave much else to the game timeline. Most games from my experience this season are usually a 20-5 win and vice versa loss.

It still keeps feeders from making big impacts since their kill cost is still low and ineffective, but helps those that genuinely had a terrible early game and they can actually attribute to mid to late game other than being cannon fodder and giving them a chance to get some farm. This would also help the constant nerfs to towers and the new 4th drag 20% dmg reduction.

All numbers are just examples. But most of us are aware of the mid lane romp after an ace at 20min and it sucks when you watch your base go down even after a fairly even game.

I'm not a writer, but wanted to get my idea out there, maybe even have riot take a peak and roll it around a bit.

Cheers

maybe.... make CDR effect death timer ?

I had thought about that too but then that would skew item progression into rushing 40% cdr if someone falls behind rather then relying a bit of a break when camped or losing the early game. Basically reconstructing the Revive spell (or w/e it was) as an actual function of the game.
