Dodging the Hard Counters

Dodging is generally frowned upon and penalized by Riot. We all know this. There are times when its better to just take the penalty instead of wasting your time trying to fight someone that counters you hard. I play Heimerdinger a LOT. Every time i see a Syndra come up on the enemy team pick list, I dodge. People who chose counters to win the games are not using skill to win. They are in my opinion, just cowards. In any event, if someone hard counters you in champ select, take the penalty. If it adds up to a long one, play another game. LoL is not the only game out there. As for Riot looking down on dodging, I don't care, I'm here to have fun and have a chance to win. If I can't do those things, what's the point of my playing? If you are someone that counter picks a lot just to get the advantage, don't post here. You aren't worth knowing.

Yeah man, I feel the same about thses idiots in uniform in amusement parks. Like... I just want to have fun, what is all this nonsense about paying by entrance?

Oh, if you only want to play the game when you have a clear advantage over your oponent, and get salty when you get counterpicked, you are the worst kind if hypocrite, learn to play around your counters, like that guy playing a melee champion that doesn't dodge the moment he sees YOU playing Heimerdinger against him.

You're crying about counterpicks as if it takes no skill to use those counters properly. Syndra is a common pick even if it's not for a counter yet you claim that people pick her just because of your pick as if the world revolves around you

Picking a counter champ you have no idea how to play is worse than using someone you know how to use and isnt a hard counter.

"If you dont agree with me then don't post here" LMAO cry more bitch

If you are good, you will either be able to beat your hard counter, or at least make it through lane phase without feeding. A counter just New s their kit counters yours. Good play performance can get around a counter pick. Assuming exact same skill level between you and your counterpick, you should be able to at least not feed in lane and look to make an impact in another lane or in mid game.

How does counterpicking maje you a coward. Part of the skill in lol is picking team comps and champ select. Counter picking is a viable skill.

Because dodging isn't a game mechanic, you're just wasting everyone's time by forcing them to requeue because you deemed your game unwinnable just from Champion select.

Tactical Dodging is a powerfull tool to boost your winrate and ultimately climb - that far, I can agree. I used it alot back in S5 when I played Ranked only and it worked.

However running away from counters is not the way to do so. If you want to avoid them - ask for swaps!

In 9 out of 10 cases a counterpick is inferior to a main-pick. In 1 you meet that Counter-Main - RIP. [Outside of High-Elo] When I basicly one-tricked Swain-Mid S5 I was always happy about those Lux picks (listed as #1 Counter on most pages back in the days) - they had no idea what they're supposed to do an I could 1vs3 in midgame on a regular base as a result. (Fizz was a counter as well - but this guy usually didnt survive the ban-phase earlier the season and was considered bad later on - good fo me. =P)

I used the 1 Free-Dodge per day basicly every day primarily to avoid ridiculous Teamcomps and secondary to avoid unwanted positions (I was a horrible ADC). I ususally avoided the second dodge and only blew it out for obvious trolls. (Although being forced to use the first one usually means that I dont play to many games afterwards. )
