Things That Tilt Your ADC

Dyde·5/14/2018, 9:52:04 AM·52 votes·14,891 views

Well i read some guy write ''things that tilt your support'' and the whole thread was just basicaly slamming on ADC's. Oh you think you are special. Lemme throw my 2 cents in

  1. When i leave you the cannon minion and you fail the relic.

  2. When you hit a thresh hook. I doesn't mean that if you double cast it. That it will be a guaranteed kill. Expecially if the enemy has around 50% hp and is under a tower. Not every Thresh hook you hit is an engage :)

  3. when we leash Red/Blue and move to lane. Why the fuck are you taking the longer route to go to bot. Now you will be a few xp behind witch means their bot can get lvl2 faster while you are still lvl1

  4. When you buy ardent censer but have a Jhin as your adc

  5. THIS IS THE WORST ONE BY FAR. When your supports puts a ward in the tribush. And the enemy jungler goes to destroy it. The support gets his spider sense and switches his route going to the tribush to save his control ward. And then he dies for risking his life...for a damn control ward. Seriously???. And if i were to follow him to save his little control ward. Chances are the enemy bot will corner us from behind. So whats ur excuse now.

  6. When supports don't buy lense

  7. When you don't put trust into your adc. The enemy has 50 hp. The adc can just hit one basic and is more likely to catch him. But you just feel the need to kill him to ahem ''secure'' the kill. Even if ur adc was able to get to him and kill him.

  8. When supps choose to roam in the worst possible moment. Like when the bot tower is around 30%hp and you think ''i might go mid''

  9. When supps fail to ult. This is by far the most tilting. Lets say rengar ults so you stand by ur janna. And the supps have a reaction time of zero. The janna ults after rengar jumps on you instead to ult him while he is in air to prevent him to kill ur adc.

  10. Flash hook fails.

  11. When you pick a Lux,Zyra,Vel support with no tanks in the team pick.

  12. when you play against a soraka pick. And you don't take ignite.

  13. When janna players shield the tower instead of you.

  14. When you take Coin instead of relic on Thresh. But with a litle bit of thinking. You can get enough CD through runes...

  15. When you use your Tahm Kench ult to throw us in the middle of their team killing us both instantly.

  16. When Alistar players fail their W Q combo.

  17. When you pick Rakan and tell me ''pick xayah'' but i don't have her. So you already start being tilted for no reason.

  18. When Adc's first pick Kalista. And the support after that picks a Lux,Janna,Soraka,Zyra... Instead of a Tank.

  19. When Zillean throws his bomb at you. And you decide to walk towards me.

IN CONCLUSION: Not everyone is perfect. And anyone can make mistakes. And that's why we all improve everyday. But for those hypocrites who always blame the ADC when clearly the support does fails too is really not something to argue about.

I agree with a chunk of these but the "you didn't pick a tank" ones are kind of petty. Support is often autofilled, they might not feel comfortable on a melee support and you shouldn't expect them to. It sucks that your teamcomp sucks at that point, but being the poorest member of your team and the only tank is almost as bad as no tank at all. It's especially odd that you think you can be upset at them for not picking to fit your Kalista when you say you can't pick to fit their Rakan.

To be fair

#3. It could be to avoid a potential cheese from popping out in a bush. (Most soloque teammates dont bother to check for where the jungler starts)

#7. Its soloque, trust no one.

#11. You all saw during pick intent that there wasnt a tank, therefore its just as much the junglers and toplaners fault as it is the supports

#14. Coin generates the most gold

The rest is more or less true though.

To be honest, this is rather impolite of you. Everyone knows a good and friendly botlane that values synergy will flame their Jungler in this situation.

When Adc's first pick Kalista. And the support after that picks a Lux,Janna,Soraka,Zyra... Instead of a Tank.

Darius: Listen here spooky support Kalista: Wait, I'm a.... Darius: You just send the D-man in and ward the river to spot the forest idiot

As a view from someone who doesn't main in the botlane usually but has played both roles a bit, adc's get treated worse than supps. Period.

as someone who plays both roles. you deserve that for picking the bitch. My adc picking kalista just tilts me even if i'm a tank.

In response to #3: https://i.imgur.com/zvZPJfw.jpg Route 'A' is for "Alpha", as in "we're getting to lane first and we're NOT getting ganked by the jungler until at least level 3". Route 'B' is for "But i'm scared to ward river bush!". Route 'D' is for "Derp" or for "Double leash". Route 'O' is for "Oh you're going that way?" and it's what happens when the support is positioned for route A but you take route B.

Which route are your supports taking that's "longer"?

Daddy Ants5/14/2018, 2:36:53 PM8 votes

Your list is appropriate but I'd like to add to it -

Things that tilt me as an ADC player:

  1. Supports who decide to face check a bush that the enemy was just spotted in and dies.

  2. Supports who decide to roam mid lane and don't provide me any vision, leaving me humping the tower and vulnerable to being dived.

  3. Nami's who use their heal for damage instead of healing me. (I've lost fights because of this in the past)

  4. Janna shielding herself to trade instead of shielding me when it's needed (during skirmishes)

  5. Lulu's who would rather ult themselves in a team fight.

  6. Supports who don't communicate when they are going to ult/engage.

  7. THIS IS THE BIG ONE. Supports who don't respect when I want to play aggressive or want to passively farm. Some match ups are just difficult and I want to farm it out and scale.

  8. Supports who don't understand bot lane match ups or synergies.
I am a Vayne main, Please don't pick Brand, Lux, Zyra, Velkoz, Veigar or Annie when I pick Vayne. Pick something that can offer me what I need to get through my weakest stage of the game, my laning phase.

Things that tilt me when I am playing Support

  1. THIS IS THE BIG ONE. ADC's who don't understand how relic shield works and take the cannons for themselves.

  2. ADC's who stand still and auto attack in lane.

  3. ADC's who don't contribute to vision.

  4. ADC's who don't buy item 3123 / item 3033 vs DrMundo Warwick Soraka Vladimir and other healing champions.

  5. ADC's who think they are Assassin's. Your job is to hit the closest target that is safe to do so. If that means hitting the frontline then you hit the frontline.

  6. ADC's who try to force/bully me into a picking a champion they want me to play. I'll play what I'm comfortable playing, not what you tell me.

When you buy ardent censer but have a Jhin as your adc

Guilty as charged, but I had other teammates who could use it well :^)

FilDaFunk5/14/2018, 4:09:35 PM6 votes
  1. I worked hard for that 75 gold, bruh.

  2. I will never trust my adc in the first 10 minutes of the game.

  3. But... coin.

Hassohappa5/14/2018, 3:18:51 PM5 votes

You missed my biggest aggravation playing ADC: supports that don't do anything about hitting level 2. It seems to happen all the time where a support will just sit in the brush not weakening minions to help clear through the second melee wave faster, then still be up front in the brush as the opposing bot hits 2 and goes aggressive on them. Obviously there are games you can't hit level 2 first, but in that case you need to back the heck up. Also conversely when we hit 2 way before the opposing bot and my support just watches me try to position more aggressively while they hang back.

Nobody ganks from or wards red side's tribush so i'm assuming you mean blue side. So their jg shows up at your tribush, waiting for his chance to leap out and slaughter you in a 3v2 with his team, and you expect your support to do what? To me, the logical thing to do is run right over there and use whatever long range abilities I have to do some damage to the jungler and discourage him from towerdiving us. I would appreciate if you came with me so we can put the hurt on him and drive him out of the bush, allowing me to re-ward. It's not like we can just ignore him. The only other option is to sit under tower and hope he doesn't dive us anyway.

OtterlyLost5/14/2018, 6:21:36 PM5 votes

Few more to add, as an ADC:

The people who pick Blitz but have no idea how to land their hooks; seriously, this champ is only useful in laning phase and only if you know how to land your skillshot. If you want a hook champion who is still useful without their hook, play Thresh or Nautilus. Blitz literally brings nothing to the table.

When you leave the cannon creep specifically for the support in an attempt to be a nice guy... and they just walk away and ignore it, leaving it to die. Like really? That's actually 120 gold you kind of tossed out in the first wave; 60 for me, 60 for you. Why wouldn't you take it?!

I saw someone say they didn't like Threshes who take coin over relic; I'm here to say I prefer Threshes who take coin over relic. I don't have to stress and worry that they're going to fuck up my CS; I don't have to feel bad about being an asshole and taking all the farm because they have proven multiple times they can't last hit.

The people who get autofilled so they pick vaguely "supportive" champions. And this isn't just centralized to Lux(though lux is legitimately one of the worst offenders). This also includes those people who pick Malphite or Nunu; these can work if you have an early game ADC or an ADC that can easily follow up their wombo at 6. They don't work if I'm trying to play Tristana or Jinx against a Jhin/Zyra. >_>; I get it if you don't play support but Autofill has been here for at least a season and a half and Janna isn't that hard or expensive. Get Janna and use her when you get autofilled.

The supports who go full AP instead of investing in their support item or getting a sweeper; you can get a Rylai's dudes, that's fair. But why the hell do you have a Ludens, Morellos, and Rabadons but not even a finish support item? .-.;

The supports who stay to leash the Jungler through two camps. I get it. You're trying to be a nice guy. But stop it. Come to lane so we're not at a level discrepancy. To all Autofill Supports, the level two botlane is the most important and influencial times. Please try not to miss EXP for things like helping the jungler a little extra while. Especially since, I know with him starting bot, we aren't likely to see him until five or six minutes in so not only are we gonna lose the level 2, we'll probably also end up zoned for a solid chunk of time with no pressure.

The supports who take ignite into a team full of divers and assassins. I'm talking Renekton top, Talon/Zed/Yasuo mid, Kha'zix jungle, Brand support; they have way too much damage for you not to take exhaust and maybe, just maybe save me with.

The supports who stand AFK behind you the whole game so it feels like you're just trapped 1v2 and too scared to walk up yourself.

That said, I do wanna say thanks to all of the supports who do things like this:

Take the Cait/Jinx ult for me; you're the MVP.

That vision is sexy and it helps me see the Kha'zix coming to murder me.

Setting up smart engages bot so that I can get fed; I love this.

When you stand with me; this makes me feel safe and like I have pressure and priority.

When you exhaust at the right time. Like when you exhaust a Kalista toward the end of the fight, before she rends, instead of right at the start. That shit is amazing.

Those clutch heals and shields you get to me in a pinch.

Pika Fox5/14/2018, 3:10:47 PM4 votes

Longer route to bot is helpful to avoid level 1 tribush cheese. So many people die for free to a level 1 cheese.

Athenes Lulu5/15/2018, 12:37:33 AM3 votes

I main support and these support justice warrior threads are honestly overrated and stupid. You are most likely in gold/silver so your teammates won't be perfect, and if you play support enough you will get used to the fact that your ADCs do stupid things. Get over it.

Now some of your complaints aren't the smartest either (like having people to pick tanks when they could be playing a backliner and grant better results), but I guess it's the equivalent of how stupid these support threads can be, so fair enough.

Though I have one complaint... Kalista can still work with enchanters, especially as long as they utilize her W passive with less risk since their autos are ranged. An aggressive enchanter who uses their autos at early levels to help proc Kalista's W passive can enforce kill lanes if done right.

  1. When Adc's first pick Kalista. And the support after that picks a Lux,Janna,Soraka,Zyra... Instead of a Tank.

First of all, you shouldn't pick Kalista with a rando, since she's even more team reliant than the average ADC. What if your support is a Soraka one trick? Second, maybe they don't want to be your missile! Please, just don't pick Kalista without asking your support. Third, don't assume because it isn't a tank that it won't make a good missile. Maybe your support knows something you don't. Fourth, a little tip if you are going Kalista, don't use your item 3599 at the spawn platform. They might have wanted to ward the invasion bush and now they can't because showing up to it 4 seconds late is suicide. Just get them while you're both sitting in the bush waiting for the buff/minions to spawn.

I hate it when my sup picks a poke champ, but for some reason is scared of the enemy sup's poke champ so won't poke and just hovers around while I get poked out of lane.

Answering, from a support main.

  1. Sometimes it seems relic doesn't work. You can't blame it on us all the time. Also, one ping is ENOUGH for us to get it.
  2. Agree, but anyone who does that is Bronze V lol.
  3. No difference in lower elo, as people rarely think of taking that advantage, in my case, I'll keep distance.
  4. Never understood why and I should investigate on it.
  5. Since having gold is hard, and ADCs rarely buy wards, we have to value our wards... BUT, dying for 75 gold is dumb, yes.
  6. Agreed.
  7. I've lost count of how many kills I could have taken and didn't, because the adc bitched after. But in that situation, I fully understand. But trusting adcs isn't always a good idea, sorry.
  8. High elo wouldn't care about losing something which is probably lost as it is anyway, giving up one tower for a fed bot who has jungler near is not a problem.
  9. It depends on the fps, I play with 20-30 on LANING PHASE. Gets worse as time moves on, and we can only see rengar when he is really close, in a teamfight it's pretty much impossible. I never managed to push a kha'zix or rengar IN the air.
  10. Agreed.
  11. Agreed.
  12. Meh, Agreed. I faced a Soraka right now and I won lane without ignite.
  13. On what situation? Agreed I guess.
  14. Nothing to add.
  15. Agreed.
  16. Nothing to add.
  17. Nothing to add.
  18. Nothing to add.
  19. Agreed.

I'll respond to some of them literally for my own amusement.

  1. When i leave you the cannon minion and you fail the relic.

Well one, I don't play Relic supports, two, I'd rather have mana regen and a heavier gold income then making up for your inability to dodge skillshots and three, you ADCs take them when I'm winding up for it anyway

  1. when we leash Red/Blue and move to lane. Why the fuck are you taking the longer route to go to bot. Now you will be a few xp behind witch means their bot can get lvl2 faster while you are still lvl1

I don't know how low the supports you play with are getting the buffs but I take the longer route all the time and hit level 2 the same time

  1. When you buy ardent censer but have a Jhin as your adc

This is actually a fair point, except if the rest of your team has a decent chunk of AA based damage, that heal and shield isn't JUST for you y'know

Somewhat fair point however if the enemy bot can corner you that quickly then odds are they were preping to dive you anyhow

  1. When supports don't buy lense

Ok this one is mostly inexcusable outside of MAYBE holding onto Ward till the roaming begins

  1. When you don't put trust into your adc. The enemy has 50 hp. The adc can just hit one basic and is more likely to catch him. But you just feel the need to kill him to ahem ''secure'' the kill. Even if ur adc was able to get to him and kill him.

We both get gold ether way and I'd rather you get an assist and keep your sums for the next all ins we do then have you burn them and then find yourself stuck when the jungler jumps in/Top tp

  1. When supps choose to roam in the worst possible moment. Like when the bot tower is around 30%hp and you think ''i might go mid''

Bard Chimes over everything my dude

  1. Flash hook fails.

Sorry that we can't match the skills require to Flash + AA

  1. When you pick a Lux,Zyra,Vel support with no tanks in the team pick.

Have you SEEN the state of tank supports right now?

  1. When janna players shield the tower instead of you.

Why are you being super aggresive when we are at our tower? they have minion advantage for crying out loud!

  1. When you take Coin instead of relic on Thresh. But with a litle bit of thinking. You can get enough CD through runes...

See my Relic comment

  1. When you use your Tahm Kench ult to throw us in the middle of their team killing us both instantly.

It auto pings where I am going...pay attention

  1. When Alistar players fail their W Q combo.

YOU try doing the combo at max range

  1. When you pick Rakan and tell me ''pick xayah'' but i don't have her. So you already start being tilted for no reason.

Xayah + Rakan is overated

  1. When Adc's first pick Kalista. And the support after that picks a Lux,Janna,Soraka,Zyra... Instead of a Tank.

See tank comment, Also what is a tank going to do against somebody as slippery as Kalista? no tank support has a point and click stun anymore

IN CONCLUSION: Not everyone is perfect. And anyone can make mistakes. And that's why we all improve everyday. But for those hypocrites who always blame the ADC when clearly the support does fails too is really not something to argue about.

Thing is...your being a hypocrite right now by doing the tread.

Well if #1 ever happens for me when I support, I'll for sure take it [slayer-jinx-catface]

Yes I have had some ADCs who understand that we both get the gold (and they get health) but they are pretty rare. Granted i'm probably silver rank so that could have something to do with it.

Fondling Gems5/14/2018, 5:42:15 PM2 votes

Not saying there isn't truth to a lot of these, but I want to put in a counter mention on #3 specifically.

If I, as the support, am slightly slower than you in getting to lane (probably because I tanked a hit or two for the jungler because they have a weak early clear health wise.) then please don't start last hitting the minions unless you have to. All too frequently I see the adc get to lane and start hitting minions to try and kill them as quickly as possible while I am out of exp range, which weakens the lane because a) our level 2 power spike is different and b) you started a wave push that the enemy can now freeze and turn into a level 2 gank from the enemy jungler while removing our possibility of getting a gank.

As someone who plays a lot of support but tries to learn a couple champions in every role I understand where both sides are coming from. In the earlier seasons Supports and Junglers got more hate than any other role and now that they have more agency on the game (supports specifically) there has been a bit of an inflated ego coming from those roles. It's a similar effect to how most bullies were previously bullied in their life. Does that excuse the chunk of support players who take it beyond constructive criticism? No, but the action isn't unwarranted (just inappropriate).

Remember to stay on the side of constructive criticism regardless of what role you are coming from and what role you are talking about. Things like #1 are something that support players can work to improve on, both from awareness and practice. Things like #9 though aren't necessarily. Not everyone has a good reaction speed or even an amazing internet connection. Being able to interrupt those things is something that practice helps with, but isn't something that can easily be practiced and is still directly influenced by things beyond player control such as ping and reaction speed.

Personally I have a quite good reaction speed but I startle very easily. It wasn't until about a year ago that I calmed down enough to be able to react to those things. Sometimes I still jump in my seat an press wrong keys/send my mouse flailing if I am really not expecting it. It took my close to 3 years to playing League constantly to get to a point where I can fairly consistently handle interrupting Rengar leaps because they startle me so badly. I understand that this post is specifically about things that tilt ADCs, but keep in mind that like the support one it takes a very critical tone and comes off as a "things supports should get better about" type post. There is a difference in demeaning/getting tilted by players doing stupid things and players simply lacking the skills/reaction times/experience to perform on the level your would want.

Mhihnj5/14/2018, 2:35:30 PM2 votes

at no.3 don't you get experience when the minion dies. what kind of route is the support taking that involves losing a minion.

at no.5 the problem is with the positioning of the control ward itself. Placing a control ward in an area where you can't defend it(unless it's in the enemy's jungle) is just a waste of 75 gold. Either that or it was placed a while ago.

at no.8, brace yourself, a dive is coming.

also, link to the support thread please.
