There is no longer any reason to pick Renekton

Renekton's primary strength was early lane to mid game dominance. But now I find it very difficult to win lane as Renekton against most match ups in the top lane.

Renekton was pretty OP for a long time, I understand. After a few tweaks to his ultimate and the buffing of Ryze, Renekton quickly began to start falling off the top tier list.

Right now Renekton offers very little in team fight scenarios. His damage is lackluster unless you've built mostly damage, and if you do, you drop like a fly unless you've gone 3-0 in lane with 70+ CS in the first 7 - 9 minutes.

Even if you manage to build a lead with the gator, the benefits still aren't as good as the other options out today. For example, Irelia has a mediocre laning phase, but her snowball/catch potential is incredibly strong, and her ability to drop ADCs is far more valuable than what Renekton can bring. Same could be said about Fiora, Jax, Akali, Gnar, etc.

Nowadays, if you can't drop an ADC quickly, you best be as tanky as Maokai.

Renekton can't blow up an ADC unless he has like 2-3 Damage items and a strong lead. Even then, he's still very vulnerable since he will essentially become a soft bullet taker with a pretty good punch.

Even if Renekton has the kill potential on a squishy target, he still has the very hard obstacle of closing the distance between he and his target.

Might just be me, but at the moment, the gator feels very obsolete. He's not Darius level of obsolete (yet), but I fear he's getting there.

What do you guys think? I know a lot of you hate the gator, but lets try not to be bias.
