Shyvana- the half dragon

So hi everyone,

I had a recent discussion with a friend of mine about Shyvana the half-dragon. To me it seems like Riot is turning her into a drago-mage.

Before i ramble let me lay-down something to get you guys thinking (Booooooo....) Be quiet.

So any way Shyvana is a Fighter/Tank. Her passive grants additional Magic Rez and Armour. (That's why she is tank duh...) Her Q (Twin Bite) uses Attack Damage Awesome. With the bug fix (I don't mind), but i do feel Burnout should go for Physical damage, rather than magic. (I know it's a stretch.) {Fire = Magic, i get it.}

A friend of mine said to me... "I agree that Shyvana's E, (Flame Breath) shouldn't deal Magic damage, it should deal physical damage. It would make an excellent finisher." I agree with this.

Her ultimate Dragon's Decent, Should deal Physical damage. After all she is charging at you, that seems physical enough for me, (i get she turns into a dragon.) Since her ultimate leans towards Magic, Tell me this.

If a Bull runs into a wall... it's "Magic"? Yeah right.

I don't know about you other Shyvana users but has anyone else notice that her ultimate some times misses and doesn't drag the opposing champions?

Now that i addressed this i want to get into the subject of fighting champions. How many of you watch boxing or other fighting sports? (Estimated 150?) Ok so i notice this every time i play Shyvana that she walks in a righty boxing stance. (Pretty cool to me at least) The way she punches the enemy is the why she is FIGHTER.

As a Shyvana main, do not complain about her damage typing.

The fact that her kit deals mixed magic and physical damage is good. It keeps her scaling into late-game very well.

Just because she deals magic damage doesn't mean she's "becoming a dracomage." Worry about that when she starts casting Fireball instead of Fist.

Well, I can tell you that the reason her ultimate doesn't always deal the damage is that it can be interrupted by any CC. I believe this should be changed, and it's a reason why I dislike playing her.

Changing her to physical damage would be a bad idea. It's hard to formulate the ideas as to why, so perhaps another player can come along and answer that for you.

Mixed damage allows her to scale moderately well into the late game without having to invest in a penetration item. Making her deal all or almost all physical damage would make Riot have to likely nerf her damage, and would also mean she could get counter built much more easily. Shyvana isn't particularly strong right now and I assume you aren't asking for a nerf, but this would be a nerf (or would be followed up by nerfs).

Also, Dragons are inherently magical and physical beasts at the same time. Dragon fire is magical, but they also fight with teeth and claws, so thematically dealing mixed damage makes much more sense than either all magic or all physical.
