Dodging in Ranked Promos

In league of legends ranked, I believe that during promos, a player should be able to dodge once without penalty, and not recieve a loss. I was playing, and a player joined instantly claiming he was going to int due to "every team being shit". He instalocked janna mid with ghost and cleanse and said "enjoy the free loss!" I was hoping that someone else would dodge instead, but no one wanted to. At one second left I knew I had to do it. I could've just played it out, but I knew it would be a loss. This just isn't fair in the slightest. Please consider this tip. I think it would improve the experience for many. Thank you.

Dodging is just taking advantage of the medium, that's not a feature of the game. They have no reason to endorse it.

The first penalty is light because leaving selection can be caused by various events, some of them not being directly related to the game. And an important parameter when enforcing rules is making sure you're not impairing too much people who aren't at fault.

I'm not saying you shouldn't dodge. It's like me not paying public transportation because I know getting fines once in a while costs less. Just don't expect them to do anything for you on this level.

When you see the bad mentality at the draft, or you know from the setup, that it's clearly not going to work, then you should be free to choose you want to play or not. Most of the times such games are destined to be lost and let's be honest: promos are just a big middle finger to the players, because dodging = instant loss, despite that you haven't even played the game.
