Hey man, I made the struggle from bronze to high plat, let me shed some advice on ya. I'm also a plat Starcraft 2 player, so i know a lot about laddering.
The ladder is made to keep you down. It is forcing you to get better.
The ladder is supposed to be a slow and long climb up.
There is no curse, it is terrible in all elos, even high challenger.
You need to ask yourself, "What rank do i want to hit for this season?"
Mine right now is Dia 2 or master tier. I would be around high dia right now if my anxiety disorder didn't affect my play and made me quit for a few months.
Things i did to climb:
- Duo with a mentor or close friend
my best friends are the friends ive met thro the old forums where i would ask for people to play on 5s teams or duo. Now im in control of a 20 person friend group on skype with all these people i picked up off the forums or met thro other people.
Now, people who say duoing is a bad idea, it isn't. Those people are the salty kids that get the unlucky trash botlane everytime. Duoing allows freedom and relaxation and morale boosting if no one complains about the duo.

Play for fun, but competitive fun.
Understand you won't win every game. Some games you get cheesed or play vs the scripting blitzcrank. Just remember that you will win another game eventually.
-
Watch pros, take notes.
As an adc i have a plethora of notes and stuff of soloq players like gosu, DL, Qtpie, Robertxlee, etc.
-
Play consistently, but in small numbers.
I play 3 to 5 games every day. Some days i lose all 5 or win all 5. But i know that it doesnt matter because i play 35 to 60 games a week.
-
Have small goals.
YES I HIT 50 LP PLAT 3
YES I HIT 90 LP PLAT 3
YES PROMOS
YES PLAT 2
Follow that basically, have fun and praise every victory.
