Promo MMR Bug

I've been in promo's for diamond at least 8 times now. My games leading up to diamond promo, play really well. People know what they are doing. But when I'm in the promo's some games are ok, but the majority seem to have either boosted diamonds or trolls.

So my discussion point. Do Riot place you with lower MMR players on your team in promos. Curious is all, the pattern is uncanny.

Please help me understand. Obviously I'm bad at the game to lost promo's 8 times, but on a serious note, am I on to something?

Honestly I've noticed the same thing kinda I only lost 1 game before my plat promos in gold 1 but then suddenly I lose 2 in a row where I do pretty good. I've just thought of it as a coincidence but I'm not sure.
