I like when I get run over by 4 people botlane, 100% dead, and my support pings my heal about 500 times like I should have used that. Ok buddy. Honestly, as much as Riot supposedly hates Toxicity, they just throw emote/mastery/ping spam in as a way to do it non-verbally.
At least you can mute them now. It's too bad the offenders have forgotten this though. It got better when muting was first released.
Worst thing is when you're so used to it, you zone out the pings.

I hate this shit so much. Ping spamming me is the absolute fastest way to make me stop caring about winning this game. Using a system meant for communication to harass teammates pretty much kills all my motivation to play that game, especially if it's more than 1 person doing it.
Yes, I know you can mute it but the damage is already done.
As a jungle main I'm used to getting spam pinged for no reason. I instantly mute these people and report them for harassment afterwards.

Anytime someone does this in a passive aggressive way (when it's clearly not them pinging a dead enemy like "LOL WTF WAS THAT ENEMY DOING?") I call them out for it in chat saying "why are you abusing pings to harass others".
I shit you not, 70% of the time they say "lol that's not harassment". They are in actual denial that they are harassing people with that.
Sometimes they even ask "lol abusing pings?" and if I reply "you KNOW that's a missing ping, so why are you misusing it?"
The only replies I get to that are inflammatory ad hominem, like "shh idiot" or "stay bronze" or some shit.
People who abuse pings like this are moronic, in denial, and are too stubborn to realize that they are being toxic. And Riot lets them get away with this too.
It's honestly gotten to he point where now when someone starts pinging a lane for "enemy is missing" I can't tell if they're being passive aggressive about the lane not doing well or ACTUALLY using the ping to signal that an enemy is missing.
After the third time someone does that, I usually just fall back and type something like "no, the enemies aren't missing - they are right there, in front of you".
They mostly shut up after that.

Usually people who use pings to be toxic generally have useless pings so i end up muting their pings most of the time(Thank goodness Riot added that feature).
People wouldn't need to misuse pings if they had voice chat
