Cho gath Rework - making a better fantasy
Mini rework for his kit. His Q and E really stand out for me.
Riot has been reworking champions and have mentioned several times about a certain "fantasy" players experience when playing that champ, and how riot wants to enhance that fantasy when recreating the kit.
For Cho, I feel his Q does not satisfy the fantasy.
His Q is a ranged targeted ability that he stomps the ground and launches enemies into the air. That's great and all, but I don't get the sense that I'm this big creature, stomping the ground and sending out spikes and launching enemies? Shouldn't spikes impale them?
Instead, it should be a shockwave that spreads outward, think a Nautilus wave that goes out in steps, but that it's limited to a cone shape, like Cho's E, which goes outward when he stomps, knocking the ground up and thus knocking enemies up. This would make it more of a fantasy ability of a giant creature stomping the ground and rupturing it. This ability could get bigger and better as Cho gets bigger (to a limit of course).
Also his E. I could see why they limited it in a cone shape in front of him, because his scream is in a certain direction, but how does an enemy right behind him, not hear a sound of a giant creature from the void? No, the shape should be a circle all around him, that silences enemies caught near this behemoth. This area can get bigger, when cho gets bigger. Perhaps there could be a sweet spot cone area in front of him, that silences the enemy longer, while the places to the side and back have a shorter duration.
I think these two changes would better create a fantasy for the player.
