I cant seem to get his Playstyle right, how am i supposed to play against someone with any kind of Aoe? My Voidlings seem to just die to anything besides Minion Autos. Is there a "correct" Way of using the voidlings or do i just throw them into battle whenever i can and hope they survive long enoug hto even get out one Autoattack?
You use them to siege towers, push the wave when your enemies aoe is down, get away, or to drop before your ult for more damage.
I am not a Malzahar player, but from the wiki, I gather the following :
Priority for voidling attacks: Target of Nether Grasp Enemies affected by Malefic Visions (prioritizing champions over minions) Nearest target
But I'm sure you already know of this. Well then try to find a high elo vod of a malzahar. Like try typing korea high elo malzahar in google or smth. Thats the best I've got for you atm.

They use to have enough durability, so that they could withstand 1-2 AoE, but they traded that for AP scaling and not having to actually be managed as a stacking passive summon.
I haven't played the current iteration of the champion all that much, but basically they can be stacked so quickly and they are so fragile and uncontrollable, that you're just best off going for quantity not quality usage.
The Voidlings don't matter much anymore. U just use then to shove or right before ult.
You don't use them to push anymore, unless the enemy has no way of quickly killing them. E a caster minion and Q all 3 to get a bounce through an entire minion wave (excluding cannon minions, you will need to W or to auto those). A normal all in would look like e q w r when silence is done, this denies AoE on voidlings since they are silenced. If you miss the q just r early.
