Do you absolutely need a laptop, and can only afford/use one computer?
Because if not, I would highly recommend building your own desktop system.
Any of the laptops on today's market will run League of Legends smoothly. Yes, even the miniature notebook ones that cost under $500. What you are looking at is fine if League of Legends is the most demanding game you want to play. It probably can play more demanding titles but I imagine it will get uncomfortably hot if you do run something like DOOM on it. The laptop you're looking at is geared more towards the business type people on the go. It is light and portable, has a full keyboard, decent graphics, low RAM and an affordable price. The most demanding thing this thing is geared for is binge watching some Netflix. It is not a gaming laptop but League of Legends will still run fine on it. You just won't be able to run much more on it. Buy it if you like light weight laptops and are on a limited budget. It should last you about 3-4 years if you treat it well. After that you will start to feel it running sluggishly on newer programs. Planned obsoletion is what they call it (they just want you coming back to buy more of their product).
I was in your shoes not too long ago. I primarily use my laptop for gaming and so I bought a gaming laptop. I got myself an Acer Predator 15 GTX1060 and I am happy with my purchase. The graphics card is part of the newest and best line of graphics cards released on the market but is not the best one out there. It is two notches below the best graphics card out right now which is absolutely fine for me. Mine has 8 GB of RAM, which is more than the minimum 4 GB of RAM required these days, but has the option to get upgraded to 64 GB of RAM which is overkill if you ask me. The keyboard has a customization backlight set up with nice feedback on the keys. The trackpad isn't too shabby (something most gaming laptops overlook). And the price was much lower than laptops with similar components. I bought this for $1300 but it performs on par with many of the $2000 priced laptops. And the best part is that this laptop runs cool no matter what. League of Legends, Fallout 4, Farcry: Primal, Verdun, Overwatch... none of them push this laptop into running hot. The thermal cooling is top notch and is what won me over. The downsides to this laptop is that it is heavy (just over 8 lbs), has a short battery life (approximately 3 hours off the plug) and the paint job on it is very cliche (black laptop with red light accents which cannot be altered). Overall its a good laptop and is well worth the money. It does seem to be well over what you're looking to spend but I put a link below for you to get an idea of what comes included in my laptop.
