So by this time I hope everyone saw, imo, one of the dumbest quests that riot has made. Just to make it clear, it says win with 5 melee champs, so the question is if i go kayle top, would she be counted as a melee or a ranged, similar to nid and jayce.
In my mind she should be melee. She gets extra range from a spell that puts a buff on her, but she's not actually a shapeshifter like Jayce who goes from having ranged attacks to melee attacks.

Notable examples Kayle - absent from the list, she is OK for the mission. Ivern - absent from the list, he is OK for the mission.
Jayce - present on the list, he will FAIL the mission.
did anyone get the mission done with a kayle?
I would say she's melee because her base AA range is 125.
Kayle is melee. Jayce / Nida / Elise not sure if they take into account the form they started with (in this case Jayce should be melee and Nida / Elise ranged) or the form you ended the match with.
I personally completed the mission while playing kayle, so as people have said, she counts as melee despite the ability to be ranged via her E.
i believe she is melee with a range modifier with her E
cuz her auto attacks with out E are melee

It's kinda wierd: ARISEN (lvl11): 
becomes a ranged champion with 550 attack range. Just saw this on the wikipage for her, so, she is ranged after lvl 11, making things like the

She's considered melee when her E is on CD and ranged when her E is active...
I guess overall she'd be melee? Try to end the game melee xD
She is melee, but the range on her auto attacks is increased while her 'e' is up. Having said this, I wouldn't recommend building a ton of ad on her. She will usually lose in an auto attack war against most champs, unless their hp is low enough that you can just kill them.
